I recently visited the Sao Paulo Aquarium and I have to say, I was blown away by the variety and quality of exhibits. The aquarium is massive, with numerous tanks and habitats that house a wide range of marine life. From tiny seahorses to enormous sharks, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the highlights of my visit was the shark tank. It's incredible to see these powerful creatures up close, and the tank is so well-designed that it feels like you're watching them in their natural environment. I also loved the Amazon section, which had an impressive array of colorful birds and exotic reptiles.

Don’t miss it! Animals look week kept and relaxed. Beautiful variety of Brazilian fresh water fish such as Pirarucu and Pirarara. Impossible not be thrilled by watching the polar bear swimming and playing.

The outside is beautiful, but the inside is too dark and tacky. The glasses are dark, so you can't see the animals very well. You would feel sorry for the giant fish imprisoned in small aquariums, and for the crocodile in a glassy bright box, so different from its natural habitat. In the end there is a room about pre-historic humans, and also about dinosaurs. No sense at all!

I was shocked to see how depressed and sad many animals looked, specially the otter. When I saw the otter I thought his partner must have died recently, because he was really sad, and barely managed to keep himself going up the surface to breathe. But when I asked a worker from the Aquarium he told me the otter had always lived alone and said "he was just feeling lazy". No, he wasnt feeling lazy, he was clearly depressed!!

Hi, I love all the areas in the park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although it's unbelievable how a tourist place doesn't have free Internet connections I could not get an uber. (taxi is not a choice, expensive and terrible services) I had to walk to subway with my wife it was raining. If you want to visit this place make sure you have a local broadband connection!!!!

It all starts with what they call parking lot, but is truly a wasteland. Long distance walk to the aquarium entrance, full of stones and holes to make your path a bad welcome. (and yes, they charge 35R$ and no credit cards accepted). Then you purchase the tickets to the aquarium for another R$100 and no credit cards again. No much room for you to move, in a dark place (claustrophobic). When you finish the first part of the aquarium you have an aged restaurant with cold food and dirty tables to have your meal or a snack bar. (how shame to have a restaurant like that in such a expensive attraction). And yes, multiple stores that sells poor plastic toys for R$30, while I buy the same toys in popular shops for R$5. (shame on you guys).

This is more than an aquarium, there are many animals there, including polar bears! It's very well designed and maintained, easy to navigate and there are helpful members of staff all around who can tell you more about the animals and fish there.

We felt sad for the penguins and polar bears though, they should have more space.

All in all a great trip if you're coming as a family.

The place was practically empty giving us the wonderful opportunity to see all the marine life and other animals up close. I have heard it can really get full during the school year, but for us it was Perfect!

Not the easiest place to access, nor in the nicest neighborhood, Aquário de São Paulo is nonetheless a worthwhile stop while visiting Brasil. Much more than an aquarium,, the space features everything from snakes to kangaroos in their natural habitats and is very well maintained. Do pay attention to signs as the layout is not intrinsic, and don't miss the polar bears or seals.

When I went here it was an amazing experience. A huge range of different animals, and not just sea animals too. There was a section with animals all over the world!
