Located in a Victorian-era structure reminiscent of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Catavento Cultural is chock-full of interactive, hands-on exhibits and educational activities for children. Subjects covered include space, wildlife, geography, the human body and society. They are presented in action-filled, engaging fashion for the little ones. The surrounding neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, so taking a cab is recommended.

The whole museum contains real experiences on how things work. Excelent for explaining phisics, math and biology for children. Really amazing and kids learn while enjoying.

Catavento is one of the best places to take kids in São Paulo. Kids will learn a lot. It is a way to understand science in a fun way. Sometimes is packed. Take the opportunity and visit "Mercado Municipal". It is near by. At Mercado Municipal you will find fruits and vegetables.

Kids loved it, so did the adults. The diversity of themes and experiments makes it a good fun day for small and big kids. Be aware of big lines for the special presentations (the one on chemistry is so cool) during vacation months (Jul, Dec, Jan) and holidays. Staff is kind.

We went there if our kids and our oldest loved the place, didn't want to leave! I recommend staying at the museum part rather than going to the "special attractions" that need a separate ticket, which is free. The admission is R$6 (USD1.7) per adult and R$3 (USD.85) for kids 4-12 years old. Opens daily from 9AM to 5PM.

Since the time I've been there is impressive the evolution of Catavento. New attractions and carefull in the maintanance called my attention. My kid had a wonderful time and he is asking to come again. Science and fun in the same place with a very cheap ticket. What coulb be wrong with this formula ?

This is an amazing place to visit with kids. They will love it! Several hands-on activities. Need a full day to enjoy all the place. As soon as you arrive get schedule of exhibitions, so you can book you, otherwise, they get full pretty quickly.
