Located in a Victorian-era structure reminiscent of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Catavento Cultural is chock-full of interactive, hands-on exhibits and educational activities for children. Subjects covered include space, wildlife, geography, the human body and society. They are presented in action-filled, engaging fashion for the little ones. The surrounding neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, so taking a cab is recommended.

We took our 3 year old son today to the museum and we had a great time. Although it was crowded, the place is big and there are a lot of different scientific exhibits. Great for all ages.

Is a great museum and place to know about science. There are some events that you need to get a special ticket (included in the price for entrance), but you need to take a big row to get that. The place is near to the Municipal Market so you can do both tour in the same day, living your car... More

Wow, fantastic!!. not the average place you usually find in a country like Brazil. The kids loved it. what surprised us more was the fact that there was a place like this one, with so much variety and quality stuff, right in the middle of São Paulo which is usually quite run down. A must see!

A nice indoors science park for children, near the "Pedro II" subway station. Parking area available. On the outside there are two locomotives and some other machines from the steam power era. Also a lovely DC3 airplane is on display. Another touristic attraction is the old municipal market, right across the street.

this is a museum here in São Paulo that leaves very little to be desired to most Science museums abroad. Both if you go on a monitored visit or na individual one you will enjoy it, but be advised that one single day is not nearly enough to see all this place has to offer.

This former town hall of São Paulo city is awesome by itself. Its construction started on 1911 and finished on 1924. Since 2007, it has become a permanent science fair, where visitors can interact with electrical and optical experiments, physics, biology, and transportation machinery. The visit really worth.
