The area

Neighborhood:
Sé, which derives its name from Sé Square, is a central neighborhood in historic São Paulo. Close by, the Law School, the Museum of the Court of Justice and the Metropolitan Cathedral offer inspiring architecture. If you are looking for cultural activities, head to Caixa Cultural and check the schedule. In the area there is a popular pedestrian street called “Rua Direita”, one of the first streets in the region, which today marks the crowded perimeter. Sé is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.

From the Mirante we have a beautiful view of São Paulo and especially Av. Paulista. The place is not very big and needs to be booked in advance, remembering that to be able to book you need to access the app as soon as the times are available (it usually sells out in minutes). The tour is quick and yields good photos. The cool thing is that the Sesc building has other attractions, such as exhibitions, library, restaurant and cafeteria. The service there is excellent. It's worth fitting in a visit to the building during a walk in Paulista. And all free.

Important!

You need the following to access the place:
- CPF
- Brazilian mobile phone number

Sign up in “Credencial Sesc SP” mobile application by your CPF and your Brazilian mobile phone number.

If you don’t have a SIM-card it’s possible to receive an SMS via Hottelecom. Free SMS services didn’t work for me.

Regarding CPF, any CPF will work, they don’t need your ID. I have CPF so I used my own one.

When in the app, go to Agendamento => Mirante.

You need to go here at specific time, otherwise the app may say that there are no available time!

Get a QR from the app and only after obtaining QR go to the place.

Certainly the best view of the grandeur of Paulista, it is worth all the effort to get to the 17th floor and admire the view.
However, complicating the visit unnecessarily only stresses the visitor. Why the unjustified need to download an app to book an appointment?
Not everyone has a cell phone (on hand/with internet/with capacity for another app) or needs to have one, the old "pen and paper" or a table on the computer at reception would solve the issue very well.
It seems that whoever manages the space lives in the digital middle class bubble, without the empathy and humility to see that analogue is more welcoming and works better!

The visit is crowded and requires scheduling over the net ; the viewpoint is reached by the elevator . The space is very small and always tumultuous to take photos in the best place. We like it a lot. On the floor below, where you have access to the mirante, there is a café restaurant. The cold water is courtesy. Varied cardboard and popular prices. I recommend the experience.

Cool photos of the avenue. There's a cafe on the 17th floor, cool prices and free water, incredible for a place like São Paulo where you have to pay for everything and it's expensive. Many floors in the Sesc building, with a library and exhibitions, as well as a great terrace for photos.

I had read that you had to reserve tickets in advance online. When I went in a few days before booking it, everything was already sold out. Apparently the day reservations open, tickets fly, since they are also free.
Since we were in the area, we decided to try our luck to see if by going there directly we could get in. They told us that they had some tickets that day and that we should go to the first floor to see if there were any left and, there were, so we managed to get in.
The views are very good and allow you to appreciate the immensity of São Paulo. There are also very cool views of one of the Kobra murals.
There is a very nice cafeteria at the viewpoint and at good prices.

A nice place to visit and observe the city of Sao Paulo. Although it is recommended to manage an appointment via the internet, we arrived without it and were very kindly attended. On the 15th floor there is a good cafeteria where in addition to waiting your turn to climb the viewpoint, you can have a delicious coffee. 100 recommended.

Very nice viewpoint on the 17th floor.
Access is by appointment that you can take in your app. We didn't know but since it was a quiet day we were able to pass anyway.
It has a cafeteria on the 15th floor where you can wait. Very good prices, free water, excellent bathrooms.
Special mention to the employees who are all very kind and prepared.

We really wanted to go up and see the city, but we couldn't. I need to make an appointment... we tourists didn't know! A shame, it was for another time!
So if you want to take a walk at the Mirante, be sure to check and schedule your visit in advance!

For those who are strolling through Paulista, it is worth visiting the Sesc viewpoint. Quick and cool visit, to see one of São Paulo's main tourist attractions from above. The view is better than, for example, the Santander Banespa viewpoint. In fact, if you go to the Sesc one, you don't even need to go to the Banespa one.
