Just across from the beach, this is convenient place to spend a little time. The small garden has a few interesting sculptures and a pleasant diversion from the afternoon heat at the beach. The house itself is an art deco era gem. The interior has two levels - one dedicated to temporary exhibits - some remarkable photography when i visited - and the other floor houses a permanent exhibition of works by Calixto, considered one of the major exponents of Brazilian painting from the beginning of the 20th century. Although small the collection of Calixto paintings is really good. The Museum has a very nice garden cafe in the back.

They have their fixed exposition and every so many months a new one downstairs. The house is interesting to visit as its the only one left from that time. It use to border the beach!!

One of the last houses by the sea houses a small museum but also offers concerts and talks on a varieta of subjects art-related. The house itself is worth a visit and it also has lovely gardens.
