Althought the church is less than 100 years old it resembles well some of the best examples of the Italian Gothic. Above the altar one can see similat stars painted on the dome, in the same way as in the Padua Basilica. The church is kept spotless clean not an easy task as there are loads of wood carvings to... My favourite church in Brazil for its history and beauty! hot during summer though, as the fans are not enough to cool down inside the church.

While not unexpected in a country with many Catholics, this beachfront basilica is indeed worth a stop. The outside is a bit dark, with moss and humid weather conditioning, but the inside is somewhat impressive (not on an Italian scale though). Nice church in a good shape. Seems very old and inspires a little pray. Very well located at the border of Boqueirão Beach.

This historic church is just amazing! It was first built in 1854 and remains as one of the most beautiful churchs in tonw. Awesome architecture! Definitely recommend.

A bit of Gothic French style in Brazil. Worth a half hour stop. Sea Front. Beautiful church. Every Saturday has nice weeding, if you want to see the church full of flowers.
