Holiday time visits
Apr 2019
Visited many times over the last 10 years....when it is too hot , this is a place to get some respite from th heat as it is in reality an oasis in an old city. Full of leafy glades and high trees producing much need shade...the mixture here of birds, ducks, mammals will keep children amused for several hours....it is well placed for snacks and toilets and car parking is relatively easy and free...entrance is minimal and discounts for kids and elderly..well worth a visit.

if the orchids were in season it would have been beauiful
Feb 2020
Other than a few potted plants there was nothing in bloom when I visited. It was a nice little garden with a rain forest feel. I think if there were more orchids in bloom it would have been an excellent place to visit.

SMALL BUT NICE
Apr 2018 • Couples
We visited these gardens as part of a tour of the Santos area. The garden was nicely set out with interesting plants and flowers, and also various animals and caged birds along the way. Definitely worth a visit.

Combined Garden and Zoo, Greenery Equals Shade!
Feb 2018 • Couples
We went here as part of a tour from our cruise ship. It was definitely something different to do and fun to see a couple different animals (monkeys and the largest rodent, ever!) We were there in February, so not many orchids, unfortunately. Still, some unique photo ops and probably a "must do" while in Santos.

Really Nice Place To Visit In Santos
Oct 2016 • Family
This was a nice hidden gem during my last visit to Santos. It is a pretty botanical garden that also happens to be a small zoo and I highly recommend it. And if you happen to be 60+, it is FREE!! In my ratings I said "Show Passport" but that is only if you are entering with the 60+ freebie. I also said it is a good cold day activity because there are not really any cold days in Santos.

Tranquil
Apr 2017 • Couples
We had the place to ourselves when we visited. There is a fine selection of plant life and animals here--turtles, monkeys, alligators, to name a few. There is a nice little building housing beautiful orchids. There are some interesting statues and there is a fountain. It would have been nice if the gift shop was open but it looked like it hasn't been operational for quite a while.

Mini Zoo and some plants
Jan 2017 • Couples
If you are not used by the vegetation and animals of this region of Brazil, is a good place to go if you have some time to spare, if you have limited time I would chose other attractions such visit nearby beachs

A nice shade spot for a very hot day
Feb 2017
We have seen the Orchid Gardens of Singapore, so I thought , why bother doing this again in Santos, a place not likely to be returned to, and so many other things to see.
But our ship had 2 days. herald we had already done the majors, so , why not.
The grounds were impeccable , cool and shady for a very hot day. great to be off the city streets.
The plant life and limited animal life was well presented. The only regret, and it could have been a seasonal thing, there were no orchids. The pools were empty and a few of those sections were closed off.
We still had an enjoyable time.
Seniors are reduced or free, and the joint pass will give you access to the aquarium, near the beach, a. 25 minute walk away.

We visited this zoo during the Brazilian winter months. It is a little place but worth the stop. They have several animals from South America. Displays and plants to see in a lot of variety. Cost $5 real and 12 and under are free

Closer To Nature!
Jul 2015 • Family
A small Garden within the city with a strong atmosphere of tranquility among the animals! Macaws and Parrots can make your eyes gleam; they are beautiful, you can look at them closely! A calmness aura among a piece of Brazil's Fauna and Flora! Turtles and Fishes makes the natural beauty even better!
