Not the biggest futbol fan, but we went there, as my new brother-in-law wanted to show us the team that has produced some of the biggest figures in soccer of Brazil.
We went to the conference room, the changing room and then got to sit in the standby bench.
The guide was very friendly and patient.
It has a big museum where you can see all the trophies the club has won, not only the male team, but the female team as well.

Really enjoyed the tour on the stadium and the museum. This was the home of Pele and you can feel and breed history in this place. We were also able to get access to the press room, players rooms and the lawn outside.

Vila Belmiro, as it is called by locals (based on the name of the neighborhood) is the perfect place to catch a match of one of the top clubs in Brazil, Santos FC. Before, after, or on a different day there is also a museum highlighting the history of the club and showing off it's two most famous players, Pele and Neymar.

The home to the Santos Football Club and to the world's most famous soccer play, Pele, is worth a visit if you are a soccer (football in Latin America) fan. You are able to visit the museum of trophies, stadium, player lockers, press box, and a gift shop for a small fee.If you lucky a member of the team will take you on a guided tour.

For an American this was like seeing Fenway or Wrigley....the home of SFC and the start of Pele's career happened on this ground. A nice small stadium in a neighborhood setting. Pro shop is nice too and a small museum as well.

This is the stadium where Pele played most of his pro career.

There is a small exhibit with Santos trophies, Pele's memorabilia and a small theater room with some historical videos. You can also go into the field and get your picture taken at several points by a Santos attendant.

This is the home stadium to Santos FC since 1916. So Pélé played many matches in this stadium. There is a small museum with all the prizes won by the club, and some match balls, e.g. of the 5-1 victory over FC Barcelona in the 1950s. A guide takes groups of visitors through the stadium. This way one sees the press room, a small chapel for the religious players, the dressing room with massage tables and baths, the door with the sign 'doping', the regular and VIP spectator places, and of course the field itself. The guide doesn't talk too much. Most people just want to take pictures anyway. The guide and other staff are very friendly.

On my last trip to Santos, a friend took me to a game there. Vila Belmiro is an old stadium that the best comparison is to watching a baseball game at Fenway Park. There are no bad seats and the added color of the Football Club of Santos fans really adds to the experience. They are lunatics and I mean that in the warmest, nicest way!
