White soft sand & warm water beach some 3-4 miles wide. A variety of bars and food carts throughout the entire beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are offered for free, as long as you eat and drink at the bar. Bars in front of hotels (Transamerica and Casa Grande Hotel) are the best and you can get nice caipirinhas. Just remind that beach service is like calm waters... Enjoy the nature and relax. Avoid jewlery, fancy cell phones and high end watches. Almost all beach bars take credit cards. Same as in the rest of the country, Mastercard and VISA are well accepted by the local commerce however American Express & Dinners are not so popular in Brazil. There many other secluded beaches in the city of Guaruja but Enseada is definitely the one to settle in.

There's so many restaurants with sun umbrellas. Sometimes the tide is high, so be careful!!! And be careful with your valuables, there are so many thieves in high season, from December to March, but be careful the whole year!!!

I had never been to Guaruja before and I was not sure which of the beaches would be the best choice, but I'm glad I went with Enseada. The beach was clean, large, beautiful and lot of fun!

There were PLENTY of kiosks on the beach to choose from with table and beach chairs to relax at. The servers from the kiosks were very friendly but never pushy. We sat at the beach all day and only order 1 beer from the kiosks. It wasn't a requirement to order if you were sitting there. We brought our own food/drinks and that was just fine.

There are a lot of vendors walking around offering food/drinks/clothes/souveniers, etc... I know that some people don't like this but i dont have a problem with it. I actually enjoy looking through what they have to offer. A simple shake of the head as they walk by will send them on their way. They aren't really a bother if you don't let them be.

The beach was beautiful and it has a great view of the city. The water and beach was clean and the waves were large enough to be fun but not so crazy that you can't go into the water. Using a boogie board was a lot of fun. There are lifeguards along the beach watching out for everybody so it is a safe beach as well. We spent the entire day there and could have spent many more if we had the time. I WILL be back to Enseada Beach!

Don't come to Guarujá and don't come to this beach. Medical waste washed up on the sand overnight. The poverty was depressing. Muggings were frequent. I felt like a prisoner in my rental apartment.

Used to spend my holidays on this beach and it was always The beach. It was a huge disappointment to see it now so dirty and ugly.
It is missing maintenance. It is missing safety. It is missing life.

Nice beach, very long, good for sea bath but to crowd during summer, holidays, and with risk of rubbering. Dificult to park, and risk os car dammage.

The beach was quiet and nice. In November is a great month to go as it's not crowded and already has the sun shining on the sky.
There's a lot os kiosks and they are helpful and friendly. But expensive.

The beach is very clean and surrounded by mountains, the water is just very blue but at this time of the year is very cold. There isn't a lot of noise and not full of people on weekdays. I'm sure this changes on weekends but it's still a place worth a visit. There are many places to eat, although expensive but I'll say that you should try some of their fish or calamari portions. It is very fresh and very tasty.
There is a bike road all around the beach. So you can rollerblade or just get your bike out. It's about 80 km from São Paulo. Not very far and you can just go for a day and relax. Oh the road to get there, imigrantes or anchieta, both very well maintained roads. So you won't be in middle of nowhere with a broken car in a terrible road. So all very good. Take time to visit it!

Decent beach, flat white sand, very little shade, so bring a parasol & get there early to get a decent spot as gets very busy in the summer. Plenty of good & drink vendors plus local bars along the roadside so no need to bring a picnic.
