The beach in amazing!
If you like a truly green space, where you can have direct contact with nature and disconnect from the urban environment, I recommend choosing this beach. The ferry crossing is quiet and you can make the trail both alone and accompanied. The trail, as many have already said here in the comments, is a little long, however, quiet, you go through the woods following the trail that is cemented and when you arrive at the bifurcation in the middle of the trail, if you choose to the right, you will go down in the middle of the beach, if you choose to the left, you will leave on the side of the beach that is more empty and quiet. Although full, the staff has some notion of environmental conservation, so you don't see dirt or dumped material in the beach sand. The places for feeding are really very expensive, a simple portion of fried potatoes without any other addition costs you R$52,00, so if you have the possibility, take food from your home to consume there. On the right side there is a small island that you can pass walking through the sea and get to it, if you climb the top trail of it, relying on the trees, you will have an amazing view from the other side directly to the sea, believe it is one of the most beautiful views you will see in your life and being there, you can go down the rocks but with caution, in the rain it gets quite slippery. The return is recommended to do before dark because the trail has no lighting or if you want, you can do by boat that will charge you the amount of R$25,00 which ends up compensating in some way. I'm honest to say that this beach is very good, quiet, calm and even quiet depending on the time, but the sea is really very agitated, if you don't know how to swim, which is my case, I recommend you only go up to the navel height and on schedule with a lot of people, because the sea is strong. In summary: Go, you're gonna like it a lot, have fun and want to come back other times.

This hidden beach is very beautiful. Trail
1km kills inside. Steep climbs, but easy access. We found a snake near the trail, sweetie! The beach has changed a lot, it is structured, with several buildings in the woods, bars on the beach, it is no longer as roots as it was, but still worth the visit. This time we went and the tide was low, we crossed to the island that has in front of the beach. Shadow all day on the island, calm and wonderful sea! Green and transparent water. We were positively surprised. I recommend the visit. Don't stop getting to know.

The only downside of course is the somewhat steep 3.5km walk to the beach - but the destination is worth it. Other than the last walking stretch it's and easy drive from Guaruja.
Relatively uncrowded (for Brazil), tucked inside a beautiful bay enclosed in rainforest. Surf ranges from easy at one end to challenging at the other.
Lots of small shops and a couple of restaurants as well.
You could easily spend your entire holidays there...

I say only go if you are in a large group! I, a woman, and my gay friend, went alone, and a local family thought I was picking on them, they set up an ambush, 3 men surrounded me and held me down while a woman started hitting me! I asked for help from 2 different stores there, both times they told me to leave because I wasn't consuming on the spot!
The place is incredibly beautiful, but it is not safe, be careful!

Walking is not recommended if you have a knee or foot problem. The tour is very beautiful for those who enjoy nature. The beach it's not very wide and there are drinks and food services. All very simple. It has inns and camping available. The beach gets crowded after 9:30 AM.

I have been at Branca bch last weekend and noticed it had much garbage on the trail.
Despite the beach belongs to Guararu State Park you will see many things that not fit with it.
The river is poluted. Sewage is thrown into the river.
Government does not have any control of anything.

3.5 km walking on a path that can be very hard with rainy weather. Overall, very pleasant views but people are starting to leave a lot of garbage on the way to Camburi Beach, and Praia Branca is full of people, commerce and noise. Praia Preta is more calm, and Camburi beach is the quieter.

Even though it's not neat Guaruja, it's definitively a hiddem gem in the island.

The trekking to get to the beach (20 mins) and the beach itself are outstanding!

This place is the hangout of many Reggae fans. There are also families and teenagers. The beach is beautiful and can be accessed after a 30minutes walk through a path in the jungle. The walk is very light, and you dont have to have special gear or anything. But dont expect an "abandoned" or secret place, its always full on the summer.
