Sometimes called the "Switzerland of Brazil," the town of Campos do Jordão, near São Paulo, offers chalet-style architecture and German and Swiss cuisine. This full-day tour is for travelers who want to explore the history, architecture, and handicrafts in this enclave of Swiss culture and enjoy the surrounding countryside during a short hike and a waterfall visit. This is an amazing park, very beautiful, with a lot of flowers, trees, plants, trails, that will impress everybody. There is a parking lot in the structure. The payment is only in cash or bank transfer. Prepare your photo machine or smartphone to take many pictures.

Excellent process of buying the tickets online thought Trip Adviser and getting access to the local. The gardens are huge with neatly trimmed gardens. Very well maintained. It resembles the Butchart gardens in Victoria BC, Canada. However, the difference is that Campos do Jordao has a more germanic black forest vibe, specially when the weather is cold or early mornings with heavy fog.

Just an organized, crowded and clean garden with a lot of different types of flowers and trees. But if you want some information/ explanation of the plants, figure that out by yourself. Very different from the other garden at a near city - Santo Antônio dos Pinhais - which we had a guided tour who explained a bunch over the plants they have there ... maybe as I expecting at least the same experience ... not quite that ...

This place has Japanese, Chinese, German, French, English, and many other gardens. Still, I was surprised at how small it is altogether. One can easily go around within one hour. The forest house is nice, mainly because of its unique stairs. I noticed some birds around the place, including a toucan and I believe there was also a woodpecker. The view over the hills is breathtaking, I think that is actually the highlight of the park. Entrance fee is alright, getting there by taxi costs more. Maybe there should be some bus service to Campos do Jordao.
