Vila Capivari is also known as the "English Village". My wife and I enjoyed dining and shopping there. Even though it was winter in Brazil there were enough people walking around and music to make it lively.

It's a nice place to visit. Full of restaurants and a big variety of tastes. Different people and a sense of safety.

Capivari is a lively city with lots of entertainment options like bars, restaurants, shopping malls and various artists showing off their talents on the cute streets of the city that look like a little Swiss town in the country side of São Paulo. Its really great to spend a few hours walking around and getting to know all the hidden spots, because there are several places to explore. However, if you are going to have dinner, prepare your pocket because surely the town offers great gastronomic options, but not cheap. But if you look around, you can find small restaurants that serve food per kilo for example with a reasonable price. If you go during winter time, take the opportunity to warm up with hot wine and lots of chocolate. Usually the city is crowded during the winter festivals, so if you are looking to go with the family to relax, it is worth picking other months of the year, in summer for example, where the city gets more empty and more affordable prices.

Recommend: Yes sure, it’s a cozy and fun city to visit.

Tips: Don't forget to bring a warmer blouse, even during summer the mountains can get little cooler at night. Shopping at Capivari is fun, but try to check all options and compare prices before buy it, although you have lots of money to spend.

It was really sad to see how this vila became a street of bars and restaurants, that's all.
It lost it's charm.

Vila Capivari is the nearest you can get to Europe when going to Campos do Jordao. Except for this location the rest of the city looks pretty much like a countryside city of Brazil. Capivari provides lots of restaurants, and chocolate stores. Nice to visit but usually packed.

The city itself has a lot of nature postcards. Honestly, as a urban person, I really prefer the streets and watching beautiful people hanging around... and that's the place. Local artisan products, chocolate, stores... nice stroll
