Really nice for a relaxing walk and also have a small zoo. Free entrance. Looks like a rain forest in middle of city.

Never expected this small zoo / park that’s situated in the hart of Campinas. Built in 1915 but still very well preserved. The park is like a jungle with beautiful plants and small animals (Cotia) walking freely in the park. There is a walking path with signs how far you are. Around the middle there are animal cages with parrots, owls, monkeys and even 2 lions, a jaguar and hippo (!). I am normally quite sceptic about zoo’s like this but the animals seem healthy and have enough space. What a great surprise for this quite boring city...…

Small zoo with amazing natural landscapes. Hillsides covered with talk trees and dense undergrowth. Beautiful place to walk any time of year. Some thing is always flowering. There are Brazilian animals like rapids, toucan and macaw.
