Mr. Mike and Angie have given their lives to teach all about the animals and their care to children and adults. The LOVE their ministry and have each Christmas spent their time bringing "Henry" the camel to the Nativity so that many could worship in the true spirit of Christmas with the live animals that attended the Christ Childs Birth.... We visited this private zoo with our 4 year old girl and we really had a great time. Don't expect to see an elaborate set up like big city zoo, this is more of an up-close and personal experience. The roughly 1 hour tour was done by a very interesting guide who is obviously quite passionate about the animals; expect... More

This small zoo packs big fun. We saw so many different animals and learned a lot from owner, Mike who handles all the tours personally. They have everything from lions and tigers and bears, to camels and monkeys and wolves. They have recently built a whole new set of cages for the big cats so visitors can get even closer.... More

Mike has personally raised all the animals there and they all interact with him in their own special ways. You'll see monkeys be silly with him, see lions and tigers get fed up close (and growl too!), bears eating marshmallows from his mouth. It's more like a good friend showing you his pets than a zoo. Bring water and a... More

The 1 hour tour was educational, interactive and fun. This place is worth the $ and time. The tour guide is passionate about his critters. I had no idea this was this close to Montgomery. We will go back. Would be great for a field trip. I do not always leave a zoo wanting to return but this was very... More

You can tell that the owner Mike and his wife have a tremendous love and passion for all of their animals. They are immaculately cared for and well maintained. We had a wonderful time hand feeding the large variety of animals ranging from bison, deer, miniature goats and horses to zonkys ( horse/donkey). There are far too many to list!... More

Stationed down at Fort Rucker there is very little in the area to do with your kids. Stumbled upon this place during my internet searching, was a little dubious to try it, but went anyway. It was a scorching hot day, but the lady in admissions was kind enough to give the kids a free bottle of water. The kids... More
