This was one of the highlights for Laguna for me. The views of the city are amazing panoramas. It's a little tricky getting up to stop, but if you can, I would definitely recommend making your way up there at some point while in Laguna. The roads aren't that great leading up to the point, luckily, my friend who's a local was driving, but definitely worth it.

the visitor can hike up to it or can drive or take some public transport to get a view not only the old part of town and the spreading new developments, but also the open ocean ...

have been here often and shot many pictures of the fabulous city-view, unfortunately they closed the gates to the top of the abandoned restaurant, which allowed you an even more amazing view of the city and river. My advice is to go here in daytime, accompanied by others (as the area is not the safest of this town)

The roads in the area are not in the best state of repair and we grounded our car twice on the way up. So bearing this in mind it is not really worth the drive up as the view from the top is decidedly average.

We went in the late afternoon in the south and by the end we had a beautiful day. You have vision eastern (ocean) and Western Historical Center. Portuguese immigrants departed this region to colonize other regions including what is now the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul
We all thought that the city should take better care of access to the site as it is with the bad pavement and cleaning of the gazebo.
There is an abandoned lookout restaurant. Was an Argentine owner according to residents. He closed for lack of business. Definitely a great tourism potential but forgotten by the city. Worth knowing.
