Well worth the effort. At the top there is an elevated viewing platform with (virtually) 360 degree views over the city, mountains, river and islands. Even better (for us) was a lovely 600 metre aerial walkway through the forest surrounding the peak. We walked up and back (about an hour each way) on the access road with forest on both sides, but there are buses if you would prefer. No cafes open when we visited, but there were toilet facilities. There are bars & restaurants at the beginning/end.

If you want to see Joinville and other surroundings check the Mirror. Grab some water in the park spot down , as you are not able to buy anything up there. The walk takes about 45 minutes straight up to hill. Without water you will suffer

I ran up to the top. It’s easy to find a way with a clear sign about the destinations. The course itself is tough, so I saw some running there and suffering. The view from the observation is so great that it commands the city of Joinville. It has also small tracking paths. The view is nothing, but pleasant to walk around in nature. Going down is easy, of course. If you are a runner, I strongly recommend you should approach by running as a part of your trainings. The view on the top is the award you are deserved.

Fantastic opportunity for a family day-out activity. Right next to a botanical zoo. There is an option to go up the hill in a bus for those who want to. The trail is easilty walkable and the view at the top is the best reward for the effort. There is also a water fountain at the top (no guarantees that it always works).

This is a good opportunity to walk, breath and look at a sample of forest in the middle of the town. I've enjoyed it and recommend it to every one who is in reasonable health condition, since it takes over 8k steps to overcome 200m up the sea level. You will enjoy.

Not sure about the other reviewer, but I thought this place had amazing views. Multiple lookout points. I am into HAM radio so I got to see a ton of radio towers as well so I thought that was cool.

Be sure to to the forest walk as well after you walk down. It's very nice. Then after that, at the bottom of the hill their is a small zoo that's free to get in.

The signs say "Mirante" and a big sign at the bottom shows the construction of a viewing platform. We walked to the top, hoping to see a view but there is nowhere to see out above the trees. It looks as if the project to build a viewing platform was abandoned some years ago when only partly built.
