Okay but not the best
Feb 2020
We started our walk on the "Ratones" trail, which reaches the lagoon via a hill to the north. This walk was nice and gave nice views of the lagoon, as well as a pleasant forest walk. We then walked along the trail to Lagoa. Although we saw some birds, butterflies, monkeys and a coati (it looked like a lemur), and parts of the walk were pleasant, too much of it was arduous "ups and downs" which became tiresome, and too much of the walk was effectively through lakeside villages that often seemed upmarket and with nicely located, but expensive lagoon-side restaurants and bars. This was our first walk in Floripa and we found that there are much nicer walks.

Fun hike with an amazing end!
Mar 2019
We are a group of visiting language professors who went to Floripa on our Carnaval vacation. This hike was a great break from the beach days. It took us over two hours to get to the end which is a beautiful waterfall and man-made pool. You can take a boat there and back but it was much better to hike and boat back. You are in need of a dip in the cool water at the end of the hike which passes behind lake houses and random historical sites.

A safe trip in the forest

We had an excellet guide, Ciro, we saw many aspects of the local fauna and flora. The trail passes by a lagoon and beautiful dunes. It takes about an hour. Confortable shoes, hats and sun glasses are a good outfit.

There are better ways to get there
Feb 2017 • Friends
This hike is long and kind of tedious, because it is just flat terrain and the view is hidden with veggetation. The only exciting part of the hike is that we found a group of tiny monkeys along the way, but you can also see that along the restaurants in the end of the trail. The best hike to get to Costa da Lagoa is through Ratones. That one is a hill, so it's a LOT shorter and it has a great view. I would recommend not wasting so many hours in a plain hike such as this and just do Ratones or take the boat to the restaurant area in the end of the hike and then walk around the neighborhood afterwards, because there is a cool waterfall and alleys full of art.

More than you initially think...

Right, this is a very pleasant trail. You can either go to the beginning of the trail by car or bus. The bus that will take you there is the Canto dos Araças from TILAG, there aren't many buses, so check the schedule... At the final stop you start the trail, which is well maintained and easy to spot. During this trail that is pretty easy and does not offer much of trouble for the couch potato. You'll find some nice spots to stop, enjoy the view , and take great pic. Once you go through the small village there are a series of tourist-packed restaurants. My tip is: do NOT stop in any of them, especially during the summer when they are too busy. Kepp going till you reach PONTO 21 (pier 21). This is a nice family run restaurant, the food is even nicer and cheaper than the most famous restaurants. The owner is extremely nice and if it's not the high season and the restaurant is not too busy you might convince him to take you to Saquinho (you can negotiate the price, which is cheap). He took us on small boat to this nice secluded Lagoa "beach", and brought us back (just arrange the pick up time). Then as you'll be probably knackered a great way for the journey back is to get the regular shuttle boat service that can take you straight back to Lagoa. A very nice one-day trip highly recommended in Florianópolis!

A nice Walk.

Had a nice walk along the water of Lagoa. Even had a swim in the water. But it is not a super tip. you walk mostly through small Villages. And I did not get the hike feeling. But for people that don’t know their strength it is a nice trip as you can stop almost anywhere and get a water taxi(bus) back to lagoa da conceição. If you are lucky you can see some animals like Lizards and monkeys. If you go in the summer month of November to January I think you will walk with lots of people. There are some nice restaurants along the way that serve good sea food. If you decide to walk all the way to the end and back, you should calculate about 6h if you are ok fit. And like other people has mention it is slippery after it rain so take care. The waterfall is a ok thing to see but I did not find it that great. There was almost no water flowing there hehe. Wished it would rain.

2 hours of nature
May 2016 • Friends
This is a good thing to do with friends that are ok with their knees. It's not too intense, there is only a medium slope. The rest of the way you will be near nature. goos to treat stress. at the end of the way you will find a lot of restaurants with seafood.

This path was awesome, You get a little bit og the jungle feeling, we saw some monkeys, and the big waterfall near the end was stunning!
There is a boat bus from several points at the path so it is possibel to get back to where you started for only 15 reals pr. Person.
