Very good and easy trail. Beautiful landscape. But I didn't reach the end of it because of a coral snake. There are boats every 30min to get back to Lagoa center. So be careful and enjoy the wild nature 😉

This roughly 2 hours trail goes from Canto dos Araças until Costa da Lagoa. It is a very pleasant trail, with few stretches of steep hills. I highly recommend for those who like to be in the nature and enjoy a sunny afternoon of hiking. Don't miss the historical parts of the trail, like the old wheat mill and the house of Dona Noquinha (a local legend), and take a break for a delicious ice-cream (just before the end of the trail).
LOCAL TIP: When the trail ends in the small village, just keep walking until Boat Stop 19 for great local food at the Restaurante do Pescador. From there you can take the boat back to Lagoa da Conceicao (R$7,50 one way ticket).

We are a group of visiting language professors who went to Floripa on our Carnaval vacation. This hike was a great break from the beach days. It took us over two hours to get to the end which is a beautiful waterfall and man-made pool. You can take a boat there and back but it was much better to hike and boat back. You are in need of a dip in the cool water at the end of the hike which passes behind lake houses and random historical sites.

We started our walk on the "Ratones" trail, which reaches the lagoon via a hill to the north. This walk was nice and gave nice views of the lagoon, as well as a pleasant forest walk. We then walked along the trail to Lagoa. Although we saw some birds, butterflies, monkeys and a coati (it looked like a lemur), and parts of the walk were pleasant, too much of it was arduous "ups and downs" which became tiresome, and too much of the walk was effectively through lakeside villages that often seemed upmarket and with nicely located, but expensive lagoon-side restaurants and bars. This was our first walk in Floripa and we found that there are much nicer walks.

This hike is long and kind of tedious, because it is just flat terrain and the view is hidden with veggetation. The only exciting part of the hike is that we found a group of tiny monkeys along the way, but you can also see that along the restaurants in the end of the trail. The best hike to get to Costa da Lagoa is through Ratones. That one is a hill, so it's a LOT shorter and it has a great view. I would recommend not wasting so many hours in a plain hike such as this and just do Ratones or take the boat to the restaurant area in the end of the hike and then walk around the neighborhood afterwards, because there is a cool waterfall and alleys full of art.

We had an excellet guide, Ciro, we saw many aspects of the local fauna and flora. The trail passes by a lagoon and beautiful dunes. It takes about an hour. Confortable shoes, hats and sun glasses are a good outfit.

Right, this is a very pleasant trail. You can either go to the beginning of the trail by car or bus. The bus that will take you there is the Canto dos Araças from TILAG, there aren't many buses, so check the schedule... At the final stop you start the trail, which is well maintained and easy to spot. During this trail that is pretty easy and does not offer much of trouble for the couch potato. You'll find some nice spots to stop, enjoy the view , and take great pic. Once you go through the small village there are a series of tourist-packed restaurants. My tip is: do NOT stop in any of them, especially during the summer when they are too busy. Kepp going till you reach PONTO 21 (pier 21). This is a nice family run restaurant, the food is even nicer and cheaper than the most famous restaurants. The owner is extremely nice and if it's not the high season and the restaurant is not too busy you might convince him to take you to Saquinho (you can negotiate the price, which is cheap). He took us on small boat to this nice secluded Lagoa "beach", and brought us back (just arrange the pick up time). Then as you'll be probably knackered a great way for the journey back is to get the regular shuttle boat service that can take you straight back to Lagoa. A very nice one-day trip highly recommended in Florianópolis!

Such a beautiful walk. Would definitely recommend it. All worth the walk with the tucans and monkeys which we got to see. And of course the waterfalls!!

This trail is a very nice trail to do. It is accessible to approximately everyone (although I wouldn't take to small children or old people because of the slippery rocks).
All along the path is quite regular, sometimes a bit steep but not for long.
There is no point where you have an awesome view of the lagoon, but you can really feel like you are in the middle of the jungle in some parts of the trail.
You also have some places with small restaurants along the way if you want to rest or have a refreshing drink.
It took us a bit less than 2 hours to reach the waterfall (we didn't walk so fast).
The waterfall itself is pretty and you can bath inside of you want (there are a lot of people there though).
I don't recommend to do this trail after a big rain because it gets very slippery in some parts.
But if you like trails of even walks in the wild, I totally recommend this trail! :)

No final, visite a cachoeira. Bom passeio!
