Is very imprtant for any tourist who goes to Porto Alegre to take this boat to meet the principal areas and places of the city.

In the evening , enjoy the city that crossing the Guaiba River in a catamaran while the sun sets . Arriving on the other side , sit in one of the nearby bars and station , the Rio Guaiba border, let's enjoy the moonrise in Porto Alegre. Upon arriving in Guaiba , find out which is the last return time (varies by day and time of year! ) .

Used more as transportation, people going from one side of the river to the other. Very efficient and on time but not a touristy thing to do.

It is excellent to get great views from Porto Alegre and from Guaiba. We did not found much things to do in Guaiba, so we went back soon after arriving.

The Catsul catamarans that transport between Porto Alegre and Guaiba represent much more than a simple means of transport. Navigate through one of the most beautiful sunset in the world. And mean the rescue of a gaucho tradition of using the rivers as a means of transport and integration. And when he arrived in the city of Guaiba (20 minute drive) we enjoy a mullet on the wharf restaurant.

This is the best way you can see the city from the river and have the chance to know a little bit from the town history. And also the best way to go to Guaiba city.

It is more a transport than tourism and for very cheap!
Recommend for transport.
We used from Shopping barrasul to centro and back. It is ok but nothing special. You see the city through the window, that is it!

You can leave Porto Alegre to Guaiba crossing the bridge or in a Catamarã, value for business or just for fun
