400 meters walking from Gramado downtown, to Canela, you will find this place. It is close to some hotels like the Siena Laghetto. You pretty much will have a great view of the valley. There is a small parking place, aside on the road, if you are driving. % minutes is enough to visit it

You can stop the car and walk along the viewpoint taking pictures and admiring the view. It's a nice view but not spectacular.

It's just a short walk from the town centre and it is a beautiful view but many people don't go for the view, they go to put a padlock of love on the handrails. This is driving the town council crazy because they want people to go to the fountain in the town centre where all the shops are. There are no shops, no cafes nothing....just a view . Its very lonely there and for most of the time there are just other tourists, sometimes. There is limited parking too so I would advise driving there, looking and then away again. I don't care how safe Gramado is this is one place you can't just jump over the railings to get away from someone because it's a long way down. But the view is nice.

Since it is a public belvedere, the maintenance of the space is horrible, the city should cut and trim the vegetation (bushes and trees) in order to allow visitors to watch the stunning view of the Quilombo Valley. Instead, I went to see the same valley at the Belvedere Laje de Pedra, a private property well kept at the Hotel Laje de Pedra, in Canela City, just beside Gramado, and it was awesome!

Stop the car and walk along the fence to find the deck. The view is spectacular! Down to the valley are the famous wineries local producers. Good to go in the morning to see the sun sunshine or at the end of the day to say good by to the sun and feel thankful for the chance to see such a beautiful view!

Gramado, as you'll find by yourself, is a town full of surprises and "Mirante do Belvedere" is one of them! You are driving on the highway between Gramado and its twin town of Canela, in incredible "Serra Gaúcha" and, all of a sudden, you are by "Mirante do Belvedere" with the most beautiful views of the Quilombo Valley, its forests and mountains. Amazing views! A quick stop, lovely pictures and lots of memories to take home. Enjoy!

It's surprising... you're driving trough a main avenue of Gramado, then you see some cars stopped and people ahead taking pictures. I decided to stop too, and wow, there's an incredible view of a beautiful valley. In other trips, places like these required some hours of trekking before you get the whole view, in Gramado it's just there... easy as going to a bakery.

Between Gramado and Canela just stop for two minutes for taking some pictures of the nice landscape. I was curious about the padlocks with names on it. Later on I learned that this a French custom too.

Great view of the green Quilombo valley.
The main problem is the lack of parking lots, and not engough place to stand and admire the views, when there are a lot of people.
