Jackson Hole Outfitters provides private wilderness horseback rides and overnight camping just outside of Jackson, Wyoming, up the Greys River. The best way to experience Wyoming is on horseback with one of our memorable riding experiences. Select from half-day, full-day, and extreme full-day trail rides, or if you'd like to experience a night in the great outdoors, try camping in style in one of our comfortable wall tents! It's far more comfortable than your average camping experience. Please call with any questions or to make your reservation. Five stars - all day horseback trail ride!
Amazing views, wonderful horses, and fantastic guides! Maggie & Wyatt were professional yet so much fun. My husband and I did the all day tour which included a campfire lunch. Felt like we stepped back in time. Such tranquility! Without a doubt FIVE STARS!!!!

A great experience.
Especially enjoyed an all day ride with Maggie as our wrangler. She did a really good job with the horses and in helping us. There had been a heavy rain the night before that required her to modify the route. She took us through some spectacular scenery and made it a great day. My only complaint is I got saddle sores from 6 hours in the saddle but that was my fault. 🤪. I’d gladly do it again. Maggie was a great wrangler and fun to be with.

The Best Trail Ride, Ever!
This was the most amazing trail ride. I did the extreme all day and I went to the top of a mountain. My guide was excellent, and so were the horses. All other rides I have done just pale in comparison. The owner was extremely helpful and I will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Highlight of vacation!

Absolutely amazing!! The horseback ride with Michael and Bryce, our guides, was awesome....nestled between two mountain ranges we went thru aspens, rivers, and up steep trails to a gorgeous lake! Back at camp, Jan made a great steak dinner followed by the best breakfast the next morning. The "camping" was wonderful with flushing toilets and hot water showers. It was the highlight of our vacation....totally recommend.

Best trail ride near the Tetons

This is the absolute best trail ride group in the Tetons. The guides are friendly, experienced and responsive to the riders and horses. The stock (horses) and gear (tack) is first class. The horses are all sure footed and well behaved. Whether you’re a first time rider or an experienced cowboy, this group has a ride to suit your desires. Best experience ever

This trail ride was everything we could have dreamed of. The guides were kind, funny, and helpful, as soon as we got out of the car we were treated like family. The scenery was breathtaking, it was worth every penny and then some. And the horses were safe and fun for both beginners and experienced riders. With any luck we will definitely be returning to ride here again! 100/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a special life-long memory to add to their trip.

Wonderful experience for a family of novice horse people.

My family (husband, wife, 2 teenage boys) booked a 3.5 hour trail ride. We booked several months in advance. We had a wonderful experience. Prior to this, we had very little experience around horses. The entire staff treated us like we were the most important thing they would do that day. We had two guides for our family of four. Mark and Bryson served as our guides. Both guides were professional, patient, and very knowledgeable. If you are driving from Jackson, give yourself plenty of time to drive to the camp. It may feel like it is a long drive, but it is beautiful territory. If you just want to pretend to go horse back riding, you can book plenty of closer outfits. If you really want a true back-country trail ride experience, this is the place to book.

The Experience of a Lifetime

We booked an all day extreme ride for just myself, my husband and our guide, Morgan. First, I have to say Morgan was so much fun to ride with! She did an outstanding job!
Second, the views on this ride are beyond compare. It was so, so worth it.
We were in the Tetons and Yellowstone for two weeks and this ride was the absolute highlight of our entire trip!
Everyone was so nice and friendly. They even had a glass of iced sweet tea waiting for us when we got back!
We 100 percent recommend Jackson Hole Outfitters. They will take good care of you regardless of your riding experience.
I do have to say here, when they say an Extreme ride, they mean Extreme! So be honest in your riding ability because there's no turning back once you're up there!

I had learned about JHO a couple years ago. Finally able to book our trip. The video makes it look more glamorous than it is but it’s a very cool place. The road getting there is a rough ride for sure. We were lucky that we had a forerunner not a small car.
The team is wonderful, Deana, Bryce and Liz . The tents are neat. Bryce was our guide, enjoyed that her interacted with our family a lot during the ride. We laughed alot. Your ride is with your party only. Having a bigger group I imagine would be a lot of fun.
It was more rustic than I expected, but it was a bucket list thing to do. ( no cellular coverage after you leave the closest town)

A real horseback ride

Awesome ride with awesome views. We took the extreme ride and it was everything we expected: backcountry, secluded, private, challenging and fun. Our guide Michael was great and our horse Vito and "big engine" Brandi made the ride perfect. If you're looking for real rides, this is your outfit.

Pleasant experience

We had a wonderful full day ride with Mark as our guide. The scenery was beautiful. Mark seemed to enjoy the ride as much as we did. The horses were well trained & conditioned for trail riding. They crossed wooden bridges, creeks, logs, etc. with no hesitation, and did not spook at anything. The experience was well worth the price. Would definitely recommend.

Great Trailride!

Fantastic back country trail rides! We did two rides and spent the night at camp in their tents. Jan did a great job cooking and Michael was a fantastic guide. Bryce and Braydon were entertaining and helpful assistants. Highly recommended for an ‘off the beaten path’ adventure! We were able to access incredible views and ride through beautiful country.
