Staff was friendly and very helpful. We wanted to leave earlier than scheduled to take advantage of daylight and they got us boarded 30minutes early. Boat operator was knowledgeable about the lake and canyon. Will liking do this again next year.

We rented one waverunner for two people from Alcova Resort. Everything went perfectly. One trip around the lake proper was enough. Not much to see. However, the canyon was spectacular!!! We went down it twice and just hung out a few times. It felt like the Grand Canyon. Around every corner was a different geology and colors. Also having just one waverunner was best so that we could talk to each other along the way enjoying it together.

The next day we checked out Glendo Reservoir on two waverunners. It was much much bigger and had a lot of variance in terrain. The canyon there was not nearly as spectacular. The lake was overall much more fun for high speed chasing and millpond conditions.

Such an incredibly beautiful reservoir and a pontoon boat is the perfect way to explore it. The staff was very helpful and nice. We paid extra for the "nice" pontoon vs the less expensive "more worn" one. The one we got was quite worn and not that well cleaned after the last users. Note: you can't cancel your reservation if the weather is bad. Also at time when gas is less than 2.00 per gallon, they charged us $11.00 to replenish 3 gallons.

We rented a boat for 1/2 day. The check in process was easy. The staff helped us with tips on driving the boat. We had a question mid day and returned early to ask. The staff was right there on the shore to answer our question. The boat was clean. All life jackets for adults present. Our dog was allowed on the boat. He loved it. We pulled a tube behind the boat, that was fun. The lake is beautiful and there is a pathway that you can boat up to with cliffs on both sides. We are already planning on coming back later this summer.

Alcova Resort is truly a hidden gem my sister & I discovered on our cross-country road trip. After 20+ hours of driving, a kayak tour through the canyon was just what we needed. Sam dropped us off at the end of the canyon on a pontoon so we could paddle back. He was great with thorough instructions and helpful pointers, especially that you need to remember to turn left coming out of the canyon to make it back to the resort! This early in the season we lucked out having the entire place to ourselves — the views were stunning enough to make you want to leave behind city life for good!

Once back at the resort we enjoyed a great happy hour - Jack is the best bartender! He makes a mean margarita & has lots of fun stories. The thing is, they close at 8PM so make sure to get there early so you have enough time to enjoy all they have to offer! We wished we could stay longer & will be back. Thank you Alcova for having us, California plates and all!

For one the lake and surrounding area is gorgeous. Walked in on a Friday afternoon and staff was very friendly and helpful. Rented Kayaks and paddle boards. Get there earlier to take advantage of boat rentals to see more of the lake and Fremont canyon. Prices are fair and location being right there is convenient instead of toting things from other rental places. If we ever get up here again, we will definitely be renting here!

Decided to do a kayak trip while visiting Casper Wy, went to the Alcova Resort and they went above and beyond to provide us a wonderful experience. Sam was able to take us to Fremont Canyon, with phenomenal granite walls towering above. This trip is well worth your time. Wonderful!

My daughter and I took a sunset cruise through the canyon and it was definitely a highlight of our cross-country road trip! The scenery was stunning and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Our captain was a charming young man, who was able to tell us a lot about the wildlife and the region. We took the cruise without food or drink, but it didn't feel like anything was missing. They do recommend that you bring a blanket at night, and that's a good idea. Toward the end of the ride, it was getting chilly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

I took my children, grandchildren, greatgrandchild, and two dogs for a day on the lake in a pontoon boat. The staff was very considerate, informative, and accommodating. It wasn't a new pontoon but it was advertised as such so expectations were in check. Even though it wasn't a "new" boat it served all our needs quiet well !!!! Will try to make this an annual event..

Rented a pontoon boat for 1/2 day. Training/coaching was excellent for use of the boat. The pontoon was great. All who went boating with us enjoyed themselves and were amazed at how stable the craft was. Interactions with the boat house and resort were professional, warm, friendly, and efficient. After our company event it was unanimous that all had a great time and want the pontoon included in the future
