Awesome ride!

If you go to Natal, you can’t miss it.
High speed ride through dunes that you will never forget! Prefer professional drivers recommended by touristic agencies. Be sure that Jenipabu and Jacuma are included in the ride. Try “aerobunda”.

Environmentally questionable

This area is normally visited by dune buggy. The dunes are pretty but not amazing, but having lived in Peru and Egypt maybe I've just seen to many big dunes. There were a couple if things I didn't like about the buggy tour I did. Firstly there are so many buggies tearing around this area and the damage to vegetation that us supposed to be under protection is obvious. Secondly, yoy will be taken to expensive tourist traps such as a place to have camel rides.
On the positive side the trip is fun and you get to see some beautiful coastline.

It is a nice place to visit. You need sunscreen all the time. It is really warm. It's worth the visit, one of the best choices to visit in Rio Grande do Norte.

Close to Natal and best visited with a buggy

Great buggy ride albeit very touristy. You can do some camel or donkey riding. It is among the attractive excursions from Natal.

Unique Brazilian Adventure

My husband and I did a buggy trip while in Natal. I have been to many carribbean islands and have done your typical boat trip, snorkel trip, jet ski ect. But this trip was something different. Completely unique. The buggy picks you up at the hotel. It's nice because they fit 4 guests only. You can rent a buggy just for 2 people but it costs a lot more. The dunes go on for what seems like miles and the driver really gives you a fun and exciting ride. There are soooooo many stops designed for the dune buggy trips. I think every driver has their 5 or so stops that they take their guests. Each trip I think can be a little bit different. We made a stop on top of a dune where they had camel rides, and sold food, drinks and souvieners. 2nd stop was at a beautiful beach where we went for a swim. Next stop the driver let us out a top a dune and we walked all the way down it into a small fresh river and walked to find a small bar with fresh fruit drinks. Then we went to a dune in front of a lagoon. They had "ski-bunda" and a zip line that went into the lagoon. We then went to a nice restaurant right on the beach. The last stop was at a water park in a lagoon. There are so many stops and they all seem similar. Every driver goes to different places. At one point we had to put the buggy on a small wooden raft and cross a river to more dunes. The trip was all day probably 8 hours and was so much fun. Natal is known for these buggy trips and there's a reason why!

Dunes are a delight

This open air ride is a must in you visit to Natal. Choose between all day excursions, or an afternoon ride of 2-3 hours. The views on the way from the hotel zone to the dunes are spectacular. There are several options, all which can be explained by tour operator sales people back at the Ponta Negra Beach walkway.
