This was one of my favorite beaches I have ever swam at. If there were fewer people and a road wasn't right alongside, I would give it 5 stars. However, it was otherwise perfect in that the waves were not too strong, making it good for families and being able to swim farther out. It started to rain lightly while... More

Morro do Careca, the tallest sand dune of Natal and one of the city's most famous landmarks but you cannot go up anymore. For some reason it has been prohibited.

You can get great pics from the beach in Ponta Negra, the typical postcard of Natal. Is easy to get here, walking by the sea.

Morro de Careca beach at Ponta Negra is the place to be. There you will find options for the whole family, from the quiet waters of the natural pool just in front of the "morro" to the lively waves for the young surfers. There are also a couple of tours you can take from here. One, on a boat to... More

We stayed super close to this beach, and I'm glad we listened to all the review on trustworthy places on the web. Anyway, what is cool about this beach is staying near a historical place with tons of stuff to do from paddle surfing, to some jet thing that makes seem like you're flying, tons of bars and crepes places... The beach of morro de careca is very nice, there are dolphins almost all year round. The fishermen bring back their fish from their fishing at open sea. The waves are very calm, it is optimal for young children. But...there are also many young ones who want to steal. My advice: no jewelry, no camera, no phone and never go... More

If you are in Natal, Ponta Negra is worth visiting. And you have Morro do Careca right in front of you. It´s not a high hill but you can't no longer climb all the way to the top. I'm sure you will take lot´s of pictures of the 'morro' (hill in English).

Tis is a nice beach, but it has limited structure. The sea is calm and warm but due to its location might be a bit dirty.

I am planning to retire to Natal, and this is where I want to live. Fun, beautiful, great waves . . .
