we really lucked out that the day we went to Prainha the ocean looked like a river. No waves. Many people were just sitting in the ocean talking away.

Place is beautiful from afar. But nearby it is stinky, there must be a lot of sewage in the place given the stench. And a lot of dirt. Both traders and visitors throw a lot of rubbish on the trails, stairs and sand.
The little beach has become a real dump, just like the city already is.
