Primarily a recreation area for Cariocas, the 5-mile pathway circling the lake is popular for walkers, skaters, and cyclists. In the evening there may be live music, and kiosks serving drinks and food.

I love this place! The sunsets are amazing & people come out to picknic, for a stroll, to walk their dogs or simply for a jog. It gets quite busy & still is peaceful!

Idyllic place for walking at the foot of the beach of ipanema. You can take a walk on the lake or walk and enjoy the tropical fauna and fauna of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Good place to sip a fresh coconut water.

It's a lake. A very nice lake by many mountains, but it's a lake. The traffic around the lake when I passed by was very heavy, so I really didn't spend time at the lake as a result.

It's nice to have the lake in the middle of the city, though it does mean it has busy roads near it for some of the circuit. We hired bikes and cycled round it. It was a holiday so was super busy with bikes, walkers,...More
