This beach is away from the main areas of crowded Copacabana & therefore is a quieter beach to take in this beautiful coastline & white sands. Well worth a look and a swim.

The Arpoador Beach is one of the vest places to enjoy the sunset in Rio. You can arrive there by Ipanema, it is at the left edge of the beach, or by Copacabana (right edge of the beach and walk for 300 meters)

I had the hotel close to Arpoador, it's a beautiful spot for the view of Ipanema+Leblon until Vidigal. PErfect spot for surfing, not dangerous because of the rounded rocks. You can rent the board and wetsuit there. Full of police.

Excellent place to surf and see good waves. There is also good beach to enjoy the beach and appreciate the sunset. Just take care with your things, it’s a little dangerous.... you are in RIO DE JANEIRO!

Visiting Arpoador was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Rio....there are viewpoints from the rocks here where you almost think you're in a gorgeous and somewhat isolated place...not one set it a metropolitan areas of over 12 million!

Ipanema is considered Rio's crown jewel. It offers the
best view of the sunset from Arpoador and is
inspiration for the legendary song, “The Girl from
Ipanema.” Ipanema is an upscale area, home to many
high-end restaurants and luxury shops, many of which
can be found on the charming Garcia d'Ávila Avenue.
The neighbourhood is very rich culturally, housing
many art galleries that show contemporary art. There
