This beach is more like a rocky area from where lots of people are gathering to see the sun dissapearing in the back of Dos Irmaos. When I arrived here just before the sunset lots of people were already on the rocks trying to find...More

You know the Girl from Ipanema , so know the beach .It is crowed though on a weekend but a must. Just be careful of pickpockets, and go on the rocks of Arpoador or the fancy Posto 6

A little like all the beaches of the south area of rio. White sand facing tge ocean with these beautifuk green rocks merging from the depth of the ocean. Romantic and serene.

I went here just to see the view but it's so worth it! Climb up the trails on the rocks...I'd imagine that a sunset here would be amazing!

This is one of the BEST experiences in Rio. It's an opportunity to see nature at its best, for free. Locals from adjacent beaches come each afternoon alongside tourists and people from the favelas. People hand out at the beach or sit on the rocks...More

During the summer days, you will see one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. However, it's crowded and you should pay attention to your belongings... It's not safe at all, but the police always around. Worth visiting, anyways.

A little windy when we went, but it was a lovely place to go and chill with the masses to watch the sunset. Quite a bohemian feel to the place. Plenty of vendors selling food and drinks. We especially liked watching the families of cats...More

best view of the sunset from Arpoador and is
inspiration for the legendary song, “The Girl from

high-end restaurants and luxury shops, many of which
can be found on the charming Garcia d'Ávila Avenue.
The neighbourhood is very rich culturally, housing
many art galleries that show contemporary art. There
