Coming for dinner, but should pay entrence fee. In the meantime there were live music, I listened two band, of them was great, there is a small place to dance, if the people feel so. The dinner was delicious but about half portion as I got for the same price - but thats Rio! - it was enough for a... More

One of the most interesting show house, an old house, with three floors, an amazing old decoration. We can choose to have snaks with drinks, to dance in another room, or see and dance a music live show. Brazilian music, like samba, chorinho. it's a tipical Carioca place at Lapa area.

On three floors all decorated with objects d'art this had a good live band playing Brazilian tunes (but not Samba or Bosonova on the night we went). The atmosphere is great and some elderly Latino ladies were putting everyone to shame with their moves. You can eat and drink at reasonable prices and you would have to be a square... More

I have visit scenarium on January 2016. I amazed with the interior design. Scenarium is a place that you can have dinner, drink a bottle of wine and dance with pure Brazilian music. I really enjoyed that night and I highly recommended to anyone want to see Rio de Janeiro by night.

We were visiting with some old Brazilian friends and they took us to Scenarium, this was Feb 2014. My first visit to Lapa I had heard so much about. That area is incredible packed with people out for a good time. We sat on the second floor and could hear the music but couldn't see the dance floor. We received... More

This place is a must if one is a visitor to Rio, for the music, food and atmosphere. One can dance to the music, samba, eat and drink all night like a real bohemian.

This place is like a museum, full of antiques and quirky stuff! You can wander around the different levels and peer down on the samba band below then have a beer with tasty hot snacks!! Very unusual and its seems that all sorts of celebrities visit during their stay.

many different areas and vibes to enjoy here. quiet areas, packed dance floors, balconies, bars, seating everywhere interesting décor. weird payment system, you carry around a card and they mark drinks on them and pay at the end. def an enjoyable stop.

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Rio is the place where this city was born. With modern skyscrapers sharing space with historical buildings and landmarks, this neighbourhood is living proof that the old and the new can live together harmoniously. As you would expect, downtown is where all major companies house their offices. However, the region isn’t restricted to businesses. Gems such like the “Paço Imperial,” which is a cultural centre that used to serve as a residence for governors of Brazil, can be found here. Pedra do Sal, a Monday night street party, is also in this neighbourhood. This landmark is the birthplace of samba and is famous for its “roda de sambas” (“dance circles”). Stop in for one and get closer to discovering where Brazilian happiness comes from.
