Full Day in Rio: Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf, Maracana and Selaron with Lunch

1,065 reviews
This full-day tour of Rio de Janeiro with convenient hotel pickup is a popular choice for visitors with limited time in the area. Going with a guide means you hit all the city’s highlights without the stress of navigating and hear important context about landmarks along the route, including the Christ the Redeemer statue, Sugarloaf Mountain, and the Selarón Steps. Round out the tour with a well-deserved Brazilian-style lunch.

When we went there there was an exhibition of short film by the Belgian artist Chantal Akerman. Tis would have been good material for a modern art gallery, however it just didn't seem to fit here, and a lot of it just went over our heads as being pretentious. There was one room of interest, the actual space where telecommunications and it's history is displayed. The videos explaining the history of telecommunications in Brazil were a bit long, but of high quality, but overall it is a tiny museum. Unless you are passionate about this topic, I would not recommend it.
