Great place to visit. Well curated. Impressive trophies gallery. The 360 movie gives goosebumps and seeing the jerseys of famous soccer players was priceless

My husband loves football so he had to come to the museum especially as we were going to the Maracana to watch Flamengo v Vasco game later that evening.

As we do not speak Portuguese we ended up in the wrong queue where people were collecting match tickets. Once we had paid and were through the door the man on the counter went to get an English speaking guide for us. He was absolutely brilliant, telling us about the club, the different sports Flamengo play such as basketball and the story of their vulture mascot. Despite not being into football I enjoyed the museum because of this guy. The museum is quite small so will only take around 20-30 minutes to cover

Staff were rude , un-engaging, and aggressive didn’t know the shop and made us want to leave without buying anything. Only one person helped us out and was a customer.

Went to buy game tickets and asked staff member 1 were to buy, he told us to ask staff member 2. Went to SM2, SM 2 (who looked irritated said to ask SM 1 (10 mn gone already). A bit irritated we asked SM1 again and said to go outside to buy, we didn’t understand where but were to bothered to ask to the same person again. We started leaving the shop and asked a final SM 3 to direct us where outside should we buy, he was nice but didn’t know. He asked SM 4, but SM 4 was too busy to listen because he was arguing loudly with SM 5! Really incomprehensible.

The staff was so bad we just left and figured where to buy tickets on our own, with help from a customer (Who knew much more than the awful staff!). It really is unbelievable and sign of lousy management that a customer helps out more than their own staff.

Worst thing was that I really loved the merch and would’ve liked to buy something.

Flamengo sucks!

On this property in front of the Lagoa (we must always remember that Flamengo was founded as a regatta club in that same lagoon in Rio) the club's first soccer field is still located today, the Estádio José Bastos Padilha.

After the renovation and expansion, the museum was beautiful, including not only football, but other Olympic sports, such as gymnastics and basketball. It is an interactive museum, where you can browse screens, where the club's stories, achievements and athletes are told. A good part of the trophies won are there, but not all. There are rooms with sound and image immersion and it feels like you are live, watching the team. It was a visit that surprised me positively and from what was said, they are preparing a new expansion, as well as new spaces with the history of the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. An unmissable tour not only for red and black fans, but also for those who love football and other Olympic sports.

When carrying out the assessment, it must be separated into two moments:
1 - Flamengo Museum; It is
2 - Surroundings.

At the museum, the experience is unbelievable. As a passionate flamenco fan that I am, I felt emotional entering that place, every step felt nostalgic. Rating 1000. As for the surroundings, I can say that everyone treated me well, with the exception of the security guard who is at the entrance to the parking lot. My mother asked if the pet could enter the area where Zico's statue and store are located, he didn't even look at her and responded aggressively that it was the law that she couldn't and that she had to get out of there. Certainly, this security guard is not aware of Flamengo's greatness and should not be working there WITH PEOPLE.

That said, the experience was sensational!

Excellent option for those who are passionate about Mengão.
Several exhibition rooms, one about the world title, another with a conversation between Zico and Junior and another makes you feel like you're inside Maracanã.
Interactive screens where you can see a summary of Flamengo's most important players from all periods of the club's history.
Shirts, cups and more.

Don't pay attention to previous reviews. The museum is new and was completely renovated/expanded and (re)opened in August 2023.
If you're a Flamengo fan, you'll be thrilled from start to finish - if you're not, but you're a football lover, you'll also enjoy it a lot.
Several interactive areas showing important moments in Flamengo's history, displays of the main trophies and shirts, as well as a super exciting 360-degree film.
Set aside an hour to an hour and a half to enjoy it. At the exit there is a beautiful super store too. Do not let to go!
