The area
Neighborhood: Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.

Of your belongings. All vendors take card and are reasonably priced

We were staying just a few blocks from these stalls and, of course, gave them a look. Prices were reasonable and it was an easy place to grab a few trinkets.

We went for a late night walk and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the open air restaurants and bars as well as the vendors selling beautiful hand crafted art / jewelry and of course - T shirts LOL It was FUN! Day or night this place was enjoyable.

There you can buy some memorabilia from Rio and that's it.
You won't find food there, there are better options like Ipanema fair.

The Copacabana Flea Market is an average flea market that runs in the center of Avenida Atlantica behind Copacabana beach. Usual suspects are available on sale here. Just OK.

Great to visit, lots of hand made goods and souvenirs. People are willing to make a deal too if you insist on a little discount :)

This small collection of stalls is located on the Avenida Atlantica between the Rua Miguel Lemos and the Rua Almirante Goncalves on the opposite side of the street to the beach.

The stalls had a vast selection of T-shirts, scarves, clothes and a vast array of souvenirs and trinkets. A good number of the same articles we saw in other souvenir shops around the area and whilst we did not compare prices I don’t think you will secure too many bargains here.

This is a small tourist targeted market than sells a variety of souvenirs and crafts including late afternoon. If you are interested in buying last minute overpriced souvenirs this is a good choice
