We went for a late night walk and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the open air restaurants and bars as well as the vendors selling beautiful hand crafted art / jewelry and of course - T shirts LOL It was FUN! Day or night this place was enjoyable.

This is not an Artisan market - lets be very clear about that. However it is cheaper than the nearby shops - considerably cheaper. So enjoy it for what it is I say, and don't get caught up in a puritan approach.

There you can buy some memorabilia from Rio and that's it. You won't find food there, there are better options like Ipanema fair.

Nothing special, but maybe something that reminds you of Rio or Brazil. Some neat stuff but mostly a trinket stop. Not too aggressive, but hawking you nonetheless. You can skip.

Its a good one with all sort of options. But did not meet my expectations. We can see a lot of stuff like the Tshirts, show piece relating to Rio.

It's conditions are not the best. But they have plenty of souvenirs and other things for you to buy. Awesome prices. If you go to Copacabana, you have to go to this fair. I had a good time and bought a lot of things.

The Copacabana Flea Market is an average flea market that runs in the center of Avenida Atlantica behind Copacabana beach. Usual suspects are available on sale here. Just OK.

No better than an average flea market and the vendors will not bargin. The prices were no lower than some of the stores in Copacabana. Certainly well below our expectations after reading other reviews before making our way to this market. Could be a waste of your time.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighborhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
