This is a beautiful place. You can stay all day long there just walking and listening to birds. there is a small restaurant where the food is very good.

At 10 reals, the entrance fee in US dollars is only $3 and you will find yourself in a peaceful oasis, in sharp contrast to the hustle of Copacabana. Take the subway (Metro) most of the way there (about $1.25 per ride, regardless of distance); the walk the rest of the way is safe and interesting plus passes a couple... More

Awesome gardens, so much green. Nice way to feel like you get some fresh air after being on the city.

I am not a garden type of person, but, since we did not visit this place the 1st time in Rio we certainly did not miss it the 2nd time around... We only spent less than an hour in the place (not garden type people, hehehe)... We still enjoyed the quick visit...

Free monkeys, free tropical birds, real tropical trees. My son won't like zoos anymore. Really amazing experience for nature family aficionados.

Fell in love Rio's botanical garden. Too much to see so little time. I was glad I grabbed a book and sat underneath a tree close to a cricket. Soooooo relaxing. Possibly I didn't read not even 2 pages... but definitely took a nap because by the time I woke up my books was on the ground next to me.... More

This place is not just about the garden. I thought it is more about the amazing views of Christ the Redeemer, and also hanging out for a breakfast or lunch at the cool cafe near the ticketing office. Lot of beautiful collection of trees and plants. Some very unique and makes excellent photography location.

Very pretty, has views of Christ the Redeemer statue. Nice waterfalls, different things to see. There are a few places to eat, if you happen to be there at lunchtime. Well worth the time to visit.

If you aren´t impressed by all the nature present, tall palm trees like you have never seen before, beautiful gardens, exotic plants and flower, vitória régias, you are probably dead. Check your pulse. Perfect to go alone, with kids or families, from 6 months to 200 years, all ages and personalities will love it. Just be careful to leave it... More
