Allow yourself some time to lay a "canga" on the grass and contemplate the landscape of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas in a winter afternoon while tasting a beverage and having a snack. A great alternative to the beach, specially if the day is a little bit cloudy. Enjoy!

Catacumba, besides being a beautiful park, hosts an adventure park inside. It is a very nice program for a family with chuldren from 5-14 years old. Kids would love it!

I´ve never heard about this park and discovered to be the one best maintained and with a lot and great activities available there like trails, tree climbing and tyrolese.

Catacumba park has a nice view of Lagoa Rodrigues de Freitas, but to be honest besides that, there is not much to do.

This hidden place is very close to the Lagoa, the hike is short but it can be a little irregular/steep at times (maybe not for very small children, unless you can carry them!), the view from the top is very nice and worth the hike. They sell snacks and drinks at the bottom and on the way up there are... More

not really a place where pople would go, unless not with kids. But is nicely located in the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas area.

Off of Lagoa (you have to cross the bridge to get over the traffic), this is a free public park that has a short hike up to a nice lake view and then paid activities for kids and adults: a zipline (small), two ropes courses (one for younger kids), and a small climbing wall. They also hold birthday parties there... More

The hike up to the lookout is a nice circut track that can be hot (like all of Rio) but at the top you rewarded with a nice breeze. Zip line and obstacle course looks great for kids and the climbing wall is one like you would expect in a city mall or REI (Maybe two routes with plenty of... More

A great way to spend an afternoon is heading to the lake and catacumba park (about a 15 minute walk from the middle of copacabana) - you can walk or cycle around the lake or hire peddle boats, and there is also a park for the kids. Then catacomba park is good for all ages, whether you want adventure or... More

Great spot for couple fun hours around Lagoa. This park that used to be an Old Slam (favela) became a ridden little treasure. If you are planning to hang around the Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas and are with kids or like adventures, you should stop by. With 2 tree rope courses (one for adults, one for small kids), zipline, climbing... More
