My husband and I originally did the long (5 hour) hike three years ago and returned to Rio this summer. We had 6 folks in tow (ages 7 - 67) so we opted for the easier Express Hike. The hike is 30 minutes but you still get the full guided experience of the history of Brazil, guided hike and then... More

We went on two excursions with Jungle Me: the Tijuca 'Big Circuit' Hike and the Favela and Jungle Hike. We enjoyed both of our hikes, our tour guides, and the customer service from our first email leading up to the hikes in Rio. We would recommend Jungle Me excursions to anyone who enjoys hiking and would like to see Rio... More

We hiked Pico da Tijuca and Tijuca Miriar. I read great reviews on trip advisor about this company. Eddie was our tour guide. Eddie was great and gave a great history lesson of Brazil before the hike. The hike itself was pretty moderate, however we are experienced hikers. The views were amazing. I recommend this hike and company 100 percent.... More

My husband and I hiked Tijuca Peak with Eddie and had an amazing time! Beautiful views and tons of picture opportunities. Saw everything from raccoons to snakes; learned a lot regarding the history of Rio as well as the Tijuca Forest. Thanks for a great day, Eddie!

First off: when it says hard THEY MEAN IT, be very mindful of this. Nevertheless Eddie the guide is SUPER concious of the group and constantly checks to see how everyone is doing, he is also very mindful of time trying to keep things within planned. I took the hard hike to Tijuca pike and although I couldn't make it... More

We spent a full day hiking through the Tijuca Forest with two knowledgeable and professionable guides, Nathalia and Tiago. This is one of the best ways to get back to nature, find about the history of Rio and see the most amazing views from the summit. The walk is challenging mainly because of the heat and the steepness of the... More

My husband and I did the Tijuca Adventure Circuit. It was a full day hike - We were picked up around 9:00 and dropped back off around 5:00. We had spent 4 days in the Amazon Rainforest before arriving in Rio and I wanted to find a way to ease into the city after 4 days immersed in nature. This... More

Tiago picked us up at the hotel then stopped for us to buy snacks and water for our hike. When we arrived at Tijuca forest, he gave us a quick overview of Brazilian history. The hike was easy, though a bit hot and the climb was all uphill. When we arrived at the top of Pedra Bonita we were awed... More
