Rafael was absolutely perfect. He was on time, full of interesting stories about Rio and surrounding areas, super available to help or answer any questions. I went hang gliding over Rio during my stay and it was absolutely amazing. I am not one to run off cliffs, but have always been curious and wanting to see a birds-eye view of a city. Rio was the perfect place to do this. The guide made me feel very comfortable, I was laughing as we were preparing the take-off which made it a lot easier to get the courage. My guide also stayed up in the air longer than the others, as he was having just as much fun as I was. He truly wanted me to enjoy the experience which was overall absolutely beautiful. The whole experience from booking to departure was very simple. Highly recommend, even for those unsure about taking the jump to get up in the air!

We did three tours with Itaway and each one was very well-organised and enjoyable. Alexis, the owner of the company, was clear, helpful and responsive to questions I had. The guides we had were also fantastic. I highly recommend Itaway for those looking to maximise their time and experience in Rio!

I can't help but share the amazing experience we had last November during our excursion to Tijuca with the amazing guide, Bernardo. It's impossible to put into words the overwhelming beauty of this adventure, but I'll do my best!
From the start, Bernardo welcomed us with a warm smile and contagious enthusiasm. His in-depth knowledge of the Tijuca rainforest and his passion for nature were evident from the first steps of our trip. Bernardo was not just a guide, but a passionate travel companion who turned every moment into an opportunity to learn and appreciate the richness of this extraordinary destination.
His ability to capture details and share fascinating stories about the local flora and fauna added a unique level of depth to our trip. The walk through the well-maintained paths allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature, and Bernardo was the best travel companion we could have asked for. His attention to detail, patience and ability to answer our questions made the excursion even more memorable.

What a Great Experience, our tour guide was Rafael Cajá an excellent guide from RJ. Everything on the tour went perfect, pick up and drop off right on time. The view from Pedra Bonita it’s stunning, really worth it the 45min hike to the top. I’m really happy with this tour and much needed in a beautiful city like RIO de Janeiro 😃😃

The experience was incredible ! We share it with our guide Eric, who explain to us all informations ! He help us to understand history of Brasil, geographic, explain to us social things… He also bring up to the best sunset of Rio, for free and with just kind. The diving was also a great experience, with memorable videos and photos !!

Two brothers hike with Didi was amazing, the best experience so far in Rio. The walk is somewhat challenging at times, but a short hike (45mins), lots of places to stop and take a photo. The views at the top are well worth the hike!!!! Didi was an amazing tour guide, I would definitely recommend Didi! Also the company itaway is great at responding to queries over WhatsApp. Pick up always prompt.

We did the Rio Short City Tour - Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf with Itaway Ecotours. It was excellent. The booking and preparation was handled professionally. Our guide Bruno Rodrigues was friendly, helpful, and immensely knowlegeable - a man with a passion for his job. With years of experience, Bruno was able to guide us to the best vantage points for the best pictures. Everything went according to plan and we had the best time. A definite five star recommendation!

I did one of the half day hiking tours with my partner. Our guide, Eduardo, was phenomenal! You can tell that he really loves his job and the mountains surrounding Rio de Janeiro. It really made a difference in the quality of the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He was even willing to tweak the tour according to the needs of the group and doubled as an excellent photographer for us! Because of our experience with Eduardo, we tried to fit other hikes into our trip and will definitely look for this company on future trips to Rio!
