We arrived at the cruise terminal by taxi to board the MSC Preziosa that would take us to the city of Copenhagen in Denmark. I found the whole area very nice, with some incredible murals, several street vendors and quite a few people walking around. You can also travel by public transport, we didn't do it because of the suitcases. It's a good walk, especially to watch when the big ships depart.

From Plaza Mauá, a good part of this port region was recovered by a well done work when the Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro. Part of the pier is the embarkation and landing terminal for sea cruises. Other than that, it is worth walking through the region and watching the sea, the boats and the Rio-Niterói Bridge in the background. It is also worth it to be able to follow a beautiful sunset if the weather allows.

Very nice location, where before was a odd place now is completely renovated with beautiful museums, graffitis walls and a very pleasant square with view to the bay...

This terminal is a nice place to buy a few items if you don't want to venture far from the ship . We wanted to buy a few souvenirs and were told the taxi to a shopping area would cost bout $ 25 each way . That would make the shopping much more expensive , so we walked a bit . There was a Christmas craft sale, and many street shops nearby . We met some very nice people in the terminal , got advice on shopping , and local attractions . There are A few small shops in the terminal, but you need to have cash there at some of them . There was a fun display with a band and a dancer in the terminal , enjoyed it very much .
