Good chance you will be robbed, but views are amazing. Is it worth it?

We got robbed coming down from this hike at knifepoint. We thought it was safe because there were a lot of people on the trail and it was in the middle of the day. The police and lifeguards won't help you. They said that it literally happens everyday on Morro do Pontal and it's too hard to catch the criminals...so they keep doing it. If you look like a tourist, you will be targeted. I would think twice before going on this beautiful hike
