This greenhouse was a gift to Princess Isabel from her French husband. It is nicely placed in a small park. Must be a great venue for a reception or party, but for a tourist a slow drive-by would be enough.

nice construction with an interesting story. I enjoyed the ambiance and the garden more than the palace, I think a visit during the evening will give a better impression

Back in the day this must’ve been amazing!Originally as a gift to the princess to grow her plants the palace today has some musicians playing from time to time, little shops selling their (mostly) handmade products. It’s nice but not much to it today, maybe...More

Well, it`s a big garden with this small palace inside. Free entrance. A gift Princess Isabel received from her husband, Cond D'eu. Normally there is nothing there to see and 5 minutes is more than enough time to spend there. But this place can receive...More

Could be more interesting if some events happen inside because the Palace itself its a great background...interesting architecture and great green surroundings, but nothing astonishing... you could take an ice cream or refreshement, and seat at one of the outside benches and enjoy the view...More

This place has a lot of potential, i can imagine some fun festivals happen there.. On days where there's no activity there isn't a lot to see besides the building and gardens, the Crystal Palace is empty but still worth visiting!

Rebuilt conservatory style structure. Set in a park like enclosure. Very popular with visitors to the city.

Visited this attraction on the day of the June Bauern Fest (beer festival) in Petropolis. Very crowded that day but the Crystal Palace was lovely and the park around it was very nice in spite of the crowd.

The Crystal Palace in Petropolis is an attractive feature but there was virtually nothing inside it. It could be used to house beautiful plants. Still good for taking photos though.

It's smaller than I thought it might be, but with a look. It was made in France, brought to Brazil where it was reassembled and presented as a gift from Emperor Pedro II as a gift for his daughter Isabel Princess Imperial. It was used...More
