The beach is beautiful and well visited. Experiencing the beach in the morning and at night after the day tourists are gone is magical. It's possible to stay overnight at the eco pousada there happy hammock.

Charming beach

This one is very nice too, but maybe too much visited by the tour boats that leave Paraty every morning. Its worth the visit tough.

Lovely beach

Very pretty and relaxing. Go in off season if possible as there was hardly anyone there. Enjoyed having fried prawns and cocktails with our feet in the sand. The one restaurant is a little pricey but they’ve got to make a living so we didn’t mind.

Amazing place

My husband and I went to Praia Vermelha, RJ on vacation, and it was a wonderful experience. We stayed at Dolce Vita, which was a well-located hotel that offered all three meals, other restaurants close by, nice trails at walking distance, and tours to other islands and beaches. Despite being vacation season, this place was really calm, and there were not too many people. We enjoyed being able to walk around, not wait in lines and be in a peaceful environment. Great vacation place for couples to enjoy being alone.

Better places to visit...

This beach has too much debris in the water and black cloudy stuff in the water that appears to be coming from many of the boats in the area.

Amazingly beautiful!

I highly recommend doing the passeio de escuna with Netuno II company. They did 4 stops - 2 beaches (Praia Vermelha and Praia da Lula) and 2 islands (Lagoa Azul and Ilha Comprida) and all of them are very worth it. They also serve amazing drinks and food. Last but not least, the staff was very social and helpful the whole time, making sure we had all we needed and that we were having a great time. Highly recommend :)

Paradisiac breth taking

Perferct plave at Paraty Bay to scape from the city and take a swim in this breath taking bounty beach before getting to a place for having lunch.

Good surf spot

Praia Vermelha is good for surfing! If you are not much into it..: you may just watch and hang out under nice amendoeira tree's shades! There is only one bar that serves drinks, snacks and beverages.
