What a history behind this place and it has been kept in very good condition. A pedestrian centre and everything clean. The shops and restaurants all fit in and are very discrete. A real must see if you are anywhere in the neighbourhood, even driving...More

Been here in December of 2017. Lovely quiet place out of the main season. It is a marvelous colonial town with great perspective. But one thing.. please don't ruin the place and leave it as much as original as it is possible.

Such a lovely area to stroll around, especially just before sunset when all the lights come on and provide a real romantic atmosphere. Full of cafes and little shops. The cobbles ensure you take your time wandering around.

The old architecture, the artists playing and painting on the streets and the good restaurants build a lovely environment. Even if it is raining it is possible to have a good time.

This is a nice place for couples and friends. The restaurants in the area are overpriced and the portions are quite small. This is purely a touristic place, so get ready to be overcharged everywhere you go.

Paraty is one of our favorite places in Brazil. The historic district has buildings & churches dating from the Portuguese Colonial era and the original Gold Route. The beaches, islands, waterfalls and Atlantic rainforest are beautiful too. Definitely worth a visit!
