Excellent day trip with lovely restaurant/bar next door. Bring a camera! The falls are beautiful, and easy to get to by bus from Paraty.

This waterfall consists of a huge rock where you can slide down sitting or lying down, a fun experience for adults and kids (although I wouldn't recommend it for small children). It's very easy to access, only a couple of minutes walking from the road connecting Paraty and Cunha. Definitely worth a visit!

I went there on a jeep tour. It might be possible to get there yourself, but the person at the tour agency said it's a 7km bicycle ride uphill. In the jeep I noticed the route was muddy, soggy, and uneven. Porbably best to go with a guide. The rock/water slide down Toboga falls was the highlight of my trip... More

By car its about 25min away from paraty. If you park directly in the town they want you to pay for parking. we just drove a bit further away and walked 8min. Once in the town its about a 5min walk to the waterfall and then you can see the beautiful natural waterslide. walk up and have a look. There... More

This is not really a waterfall per se. It is more of a large slab of solid rock that you can slide down. The water is fairly clear, but a tad on the cold side. This place is a lot of fun, but can get rather crowded, limiting how often you can slide. Sometimes the line is rather long. This... More

Very often this place is packed with tourist but it is fun! Beautiful waterfalls and nature slides. Takes a bit of bravery, but worth the fun! A small walk up the hill brings you to more pools and waterfalls and a yummy stop for pastels and drinks . You can even continue further back to less popular waterfalls . Very... More

If you have a day to kill in Paraty add this to your list. It's only a 20-25 minute bus ride from the town bus station. Just jump on a bus that is going to Penha. It will cost you around R$3,50. Then get off at Toboga Falls. If you're not sure just ask a local or remember after about... More

This place is just 8 km away from Paraty located at the Paraty-Cunha road. In the spot you will find a huge natural slide, another fall named "poço do Tarzan" where people jump from a 15 feet high rock to the river. You can go just to visit or spend a day there. Don't forget to visit "Engenho D'Ouro" just... More

Hidden gem worth visiting. We did this as part of a tour and loved it. Very pretty and our tour guide jumped right it! Take a towel if you plan to do so!

It was raining a lot this holiday in Paraty. Even so we did not get discouraged and went to meet the famous toboggan waterfall! The place is wonderful and had few people. Sliding there is very easy even for those who do not know how to swim, because in the end there is sand and it is not deep even... More
