This was the first beach I went to in Paraty. The beach takes about 30 minutes by car to arrive at. It is really beautiful!! Ignore what the people said about having to take a boat to the beach. If you park your car on the 'parking spaces' before the bridge you'll be able to just walk there. We even... More

We stumbled on this beach but were quite pleased. Parking is only R$10 and the walk is short to the beach. Be prepared to cross a small river/stream that is a little cool, but depending on tide, it is only about mid-thigh to waist deep. Once on the beach, it is quiet and very peaceful. There are a few local... More

We truly enjoyed ourselves at this beach. It's a 25 minute drive from paraty and its 10reals for parking but it was worth it. You do have to cross the river but there are shallow areas. You will enjoy beautiful scenery and a convenient bar/restaurant as well.

The beach is pretty but the water is a bit too hot at the sea but you can refresh at the river. I love going to beaches with rivers where you can get fresh water on the river. I'd recommend this beach!

A peaceful beach with some infrastructure (including paid food service). Pros: - Nice view - Quiet place (no loud music) - Preserved nature Cons: - Be prepared to pay few bucks to park your car (R$10) and use the bathroom (R$ 1) - A small (and cold) water stream must be crossed to reach the beach (be prepared to pay... That Beach was a Great Surprise for us, midway between Hotel do Frade and Paraty town!

On a Monday afternoon, this was a relatively empty sandy beach with two beach stalls serving food and drinks. It appeared to be quite untouched - no buildings along the beach, trees reaching right to the sand. The water was warm and clean. However, parking was expensive and there was no way to avoid this. At one end of the... More
