This beach is a 30min hike through the Atlantic rainforest from our guesthouse, Vila Pedra Mar.It is a beautiful beach with lots of trees (natural shade) and lovely waves for swimming.During high season or weekends there is a Kiosk that serves various drinks and snacks. Calm, crystal clear waters. We go there regularly...

The beach is very long and the village is clinging from the hillside. Araçitiba seems to have everything. There are quite a few bars and places to eat. Beach is average. I can imagine alot of partying Brazilians during high season. Lots of budget posadas and camping here. Would not be my first pick. I would put this on a mini Abraão. It is a good place to hike to from Praia Vermelha (Vila Pedra Mar) to grab lunch and a beer. Dec 2014

Aracatiba beach is a lovely small beach, far from the madding crowd. It has quaint pousadas, an outstanding restaurant, lovely walks, a beautiful view, and friendly people.It would be a perfect romantic getaway. The Mar de Aracatiba is a wonderful pousada and the restaurant Conves had the finest food that we ate on our entire trip to Brazil.

The combo rocks, sand, blue water, coconut trees, warm breeze, well I don't know, all of it just makes this beach such a great one you want to stay here for the rest of the day! A must see beach on the island.

Pousada Crusoe the best place ever!!! If you are looking for a place to relax and forget work and nasty things so stop searching !!! Stay in Ilha Grande and choose Pousada Crusoe!!! Best owners ever!!

this was a favorite beach. because of the proximity to our inn (Pousada Tropical Aracatiba - EXCELLENT), and because the sea here is a pool! almost no waves.... beautiful. and there weren't many people. There are two bars/restaurants to eat and have a drink.
