From Abraão, it is a hike of about 2 hours to go and 2 hours to get back depending on you fitness level. It is not a leisure walk so make sure you have proper shoes. I love hiking so perfect for me to combine hiking and rest at the beach. If you go in winter, make sure to plan... More

We visited in August and unfortunately the tide was in and the weather was windy meaning big waves and not much beach. While the location is stunning we found do Pouso beach along the way much quieter and with much smaller waves. Both beaches are a 1-2 hour hike (Routes T10 & T11 on the local map) from Arbraao over... More

We came in August and unfortunately were greeted with red flags and 15 feet waves. It was also rather chilly with the wind coming from the south. It is an excellent beach however and a nice trek to get there from the main town. The sand is nice and soft and the shallow water extends for quite a distance. Although... More

This Beach was recommended to my friends and I. It was a $40-50R boat ride and 20min walk thru jungle to get here. Well worth it for several hours of secluded beach front (i'm sure there are more ppl in summer seasons but we went during August, their Winter). Tip* pay a tour guide or negoatiate with the local "fast... More

This is by far the most beautiful beach in the world. Hike the beach all the way and then take a dive in the sea. Amazing!

Whether a beach is one of the worlds best is just personal opinion but if you like perfect fine white sand that stretches for well over a km, the jungle behind you and some crashing waves it's well worth a visit. We had no problem finding a spot to sit as the beach goes on forever, the sea was good... More

The is a fabulous beach. Uncrowded, snack/cerveja sellers, even a lifeguard (which I didn't expect). Long gentle slope for wading, and nice waves. But I took it down to 4*'s simply because it doesn't live up as one of the best beaches in the world. There are many other beaches on the island that are almost as nice.

Great beach for resting and/or surfing From Abraao long walk through the forest or by boat + a 20mn of easy walk (with small monkeys on the way!) Gorgeous beach with a thin and soft sand Nice waves and sometimes a little dangerous for non experienced swimmers However a great place for those who want space, shade and sun at... More

2.5hr walk to get their from the village. You could also go by boat. Most beautiful authentic beach I have ever seen. Do go there if you are on the Island.

Amazingly clear water and beautiful white sand. Just like a dream. Good surf spot I hear. I recommend hiking there in the morning (around 2,5 hours hike from Vila do Abraão) Maybe you'll see a group of monkeys like us! And later take a slow boat (R$ 15) back just before sunset - in winter around 5 o'clock. It's really... More
