Lopes Mendes is the most famous beach, deservedly. Mangues is a smaller beach but very nice, close to Lopes Mendes, and where you can find boat transport back to Abraao. Believe me, if you come by the trail you will want this boat...and have some fried fish while waiting it to depart. Just remember to bring cash, no connections for the card to work!

Beach is accessible by trail or boat only. There are a couple of bars there as well as one that serves food plates. Beach itself is average to good. It is better than Palmas, as good as Pouso. Very calm waters to swim.

Best beach and welcome on the island!

The sheltered beach provides safety for anchoring boats. It has the inn and restaurant Carrosel. The inn is right on the sand, as is the restaurant. Everything wonderful maintained by exceptional and caring people. I love going there and I highly recommend it.
