In January I stayed at Bananal Beach for the first time. It´s a small village and it seems it´s a private beach. It´s very safe and you make friends easily, as there´s no nightlife (and that´s why all the hotels offer all-inclusive: breakfast, lunch, dinner + boat trips).
I think it´s perfect for families, as you don´t have to worry where to eat everyday. In the evenings it´s nice to go for a walk on the beach, stay at the pier watching the stars or just relax. All the hotels have very nice views, as they are all in the beach.
And the hotels have a pickup system at Angra dos Reis, that work very well. You just have to let them know when you are arriving.

Bananas Beach is nice, it can get "boat-y" lots of boats. Lots of tour boats dump a lot of people. Walk north just a bit like 300 feet and go to the beach right next. Bananal beach is good because there is food and drink near by, don't have to go far.

Praia do Bananal at Ilha Grande wasn't what we expected. A pretty boring beach, no restaurants or nothing and only a few nice spots on walking distance. If you want to go to Ilha Grande I recommend another beach.

Voy a hospedarme en Bananal y quisiera saber si hay senderos que conecten esta playa con Abraao y con la Lopes Mendez y cuanto demora cada trayecto. También me gustaría saber que otros lugares se pueden visitar desde alli a pie. Gracias!
