Absolutely packed! Not much space under shade and you must purchase food and drinks from restaurants if you use their umbrellas and chairs. Parking is charged for in the area. Water is nice and warm but too many stones.

January 1st on Tartaruga beach was like 4th July on the Jersey shore --- but much better service and amenities. Beach chairs, umbrellas and table available with restaurants providing service. Crowded beyond belief.

Nice clean sand, big waves, ideal for swimming and tanning. Little bit overcrowded, but if you go to the top of the beach, there is lot of free space. You can get a water taxi to the Buzios centre.

Tartaruga Beach is a bit too crowded, but just go to the end of the beach, there is less people. Water is really warm, the only place I went swim in November in Buzios.

The beach is very clean with few bars. The water is good to dive and the ocean is calm to stay all day. The people are very helpful.

A great beach with some small bars, as per other beaches. There is parking. There are only portaloo toilets which are not great for females.

Not very impressed to be fair there was a bit of rubbish and debris and although the view was good the beach was quite small and crowded, with chairs and umbrellas being used forgetting people into bars. The vendors on the beach were pests and...More

We visited this beach on a weekday, still it was very busy with lots of visitors. As you walk towards the beach, people come towards you and talk very friendly, don't be fooled by that. We were told that the chairs are free to use,...More
