- ignacioBuenos Aires, Argentina379 contributionsPraia Brava BouziosQuieter beach than Joao Fernade, or Tartaruga. Not so many people arrive because it is further away, 10 with an Uber for 15 reais. There is umbrella service and food plus drinks. The water is colder, but it has waves, it is the entrance to the nudist beach.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 7, 2024
- Victória ARio de Janeiro, RJ11 contributionsSunrise LINDO in BúziosI went to check the sunrise because I saw plenty of comments saying that there is the perfect place, and really, it really is!! I highly recommend the experience and the view, I walked from the hostel to there, it is quite dark but Google Maps did not leave in hand. I was accompanied but if I was alone I would not recommend (the street has no lighting and is surrounded by vegetation), I felt insecure.Visited July 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 5, 2024
- Luciana F28 contributionsI LIKED THE MOSTI loved Praia Brava!! Your hike to get there was worth it! Already when you are arriving you see its vastness of turquoise water with the noses around, you go down some small stairs and you have paradise. From there walk to the right side to find space to locate yourself. Clear sand, very spacious, few people, wild, crystal clear water, with waves but that is not brave as its name , makes it beautiful! If they are interested in knowing the nudist beach, you have to cross the nose and on the other side is olio di boi. We didn't go but it was entertaining to see the people going there hehe! Gay friendly beach.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten July 29, 2024
- Tébana T3 contributionsPros and consLittle range of sand and very high prices. But the beach is beautiful, crystal clear water and great for bathing. We found the rotating parking very bad. We had to pay 50 reais of parking for the “daily”, there was no option to pay for hours, I found quite bad.Visited November 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten November 10, 2024
- Mônica M1 contributionPraia Brava: beautiful and wild! The Brava beach is of an incredible beauty. It is a wild beach, with rocks in various parts, surrounded by small mountains, and the water is quite frigid, with many waves, attracting more surfers to the place. I loved to know this beach! ❤️ For me, one of the most interesting of Búzios.Visited December 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 4, 2025
- Gustavo D3 contributionsBest divers beachThe only diver beach that is worth it (the right side) if you like to be in a place that is not on top of each other. You have to get there by passing a few stones, that makes it not crowded. The rest of the beaches are saturated. Buzios itself is not worth going from Argentina, they are 3 to 4 hrs, minimum, by car from the airport, with beaches and conditions, equal or lower to the south of Brazil.Visited January 2025Traveled with familyWritten January 25, 2025

I recommend this beach except in August and September as it is windy season. The rest of the year is spectacular and even these days like today 6/9/23.
I also recommend the use of a free hostel whose photos I will send in front of the beach itself and with super comfortable lounge chairs. It is called Armaçao dos Búzios. You only pay for what you consume. The waiter Leo is excellent, calm, good-natured and special for this beautiful place so I recommend him.
I also inform you that next door there is another parador called Silk and there they charge 150 reais to sit and per person. That is, they force you to consume and at higher prices. Don't go there!!

We've been going there for years. This is the best beach in Búzios to spend the day, especially in March and April, when the waters are calm, warm and transparent, with a wide variety of fish and turtles. But there is an important trick. It is essential to cross the rocks and stay on the beach on the right (Bravinha). Even better is to settle in Barraca do Max, which is the second one. Excellent service, drinks always on point and delicious food (it takes a while, but it's worth it), without the scary prices of other stallholders who approach you as soon as you arrive.

The beach is quite small. No longer than 300 meters. Sorrounded by beautiful hills and is never too crowded. Its in a little bay so mostly protected against swells from the south, southwest and southeast. But the waves can get quite powerfull if west wind blows hard for 2 consecutive days. Can be a good option for bodyboarders and experienced surfers as the waves have good barrels. Not good for paddle surfing thou.

I loved the vibe. The beach is small, with little coastline and with waves.
There are inns that offer gastronomy service, and also where to stay for the afternoon. Different prices and options.
In addition, there are the typical rental umbrellas. I loved!

Well finally lovely little Buzios has a beach club ! I was so excited i threw the kids in the car and dashed over there (make sure your car has a good handbrake you'll need it) We arrived and lovely wavy beautiful praia brava has a beach club "Rocka" matresses and stones which are speakers with nice tunes and a bar and a restaurant and the usual unsophisticated crowd of bar folk who try their best but have never left buzios let alone been to St Tropez .......but the beach is beautiful and the food is good. The thing that makes my heart sing was the oysters ...ostras to be precise 12 for 15 reais well girls if you don't like oysters you surely will once they have been delivered by the world's most fabulous oyster man...I suspect he personally picks them up from the bed of the sea with a knife between his teeth, tattoos, muscles galore ,deep tan and tight tight yellow swim pants...this man was made for Samantha from sex in the city...go enjoy have fun Brazil is wild long may it never change !!!!!!

Definitely the cleanest and warmest water of all of the beaches in Buzios. If you do not like swimming in surf however, this may not be the best place for you. Even though there are many rocks along the coast line, there are no rocksin the sand to impede the swimmer walking out into the water to find a swimmable depth.
Another problem one might find is that on Brava beach there is only one restaurant, but it is a REALLY good one. Rocka is the name of the place and it has a very cool vibe to it. There are a bunch of tables set up for anyone who wants to have a covered meal, or you can eat in the open on pseudo-leather beds with umbrellas. The prices are very reasonable. We had a skewer of beef with sides for $19R or skewer of fish with sides for $21R. GREAT place.
HIGHLY recommend this beach!!!

Beautiful light sand beach and clear blue ocean water. Great waves for playing in the water and good hiking in the surrounding area.

Big spaces at the beach, some beach restaurants. We stopped at Rocka, and it was a pleasant. Nice view, good food, and cozy seat with access to the beach.

This beach was nearest to our hotel and for us was made special by the beach/bar restaurant Rocka which makes a great base for sunbathing here. (Seats/sunshades and mattresses are free for clients of Rocka). Rocka (and its sister restaurant Restaurant 76) serve some of the most delicious food in Buzios......
