We absolutely loved this beach! It is one of the best in Buzios and truly lives up to its reputation. It's an inlet or little bay area with a total beach area of about 1/2 mile long and has rock formations on both sides. There are plenty of hotels, mostly pousadas though, or b&b all around this area and neighboring... More

Choose another beach if you want to avoid Argentinians, hahaha! This is the beach where most tourists go in Buzios, as it is close to the area where most hotels, inns and posadas are located, but it is far from being the best. Water is nice but cooler than in other beaches like Azeda and Azedinha, although this one has... More

If you like young crowds and loud music this beach is for you! there are a lot of restaurants along the beach which include sunbeds and umbrellas if you dine with them.

João Fernandes is a very pretty little beach with crystal clear water. Very good for families with children or anyone who prefers calm waters. It also has plenty of restaurants and merchants. Just keep in mind that, because of this, it's constantly crowded. Besides that, it's a beautiful beach!

During holidays this beach is very crowded. There are several restaurants that provide umbrella and chairs for free if order any food and prices are ok. The sea and the waves are calm, so it is perfect for beginners practice stand up paddle and there you can easily find a paddle for renting for one hour. When I was paddling... More

The beach is breathtaking but it is incredibly crowded and noisy! It is almost impossible to relax while people are screaming, lots of people selling hand made good... Everything is expensive, from the soda to the place to seat. But it is very beautiful and has lots of places to eat walking distance.

Sand is soft and clean, almost looks like brown sugar with same granular feel. Point to note, many restaurants have their umbrellas and chairs which you can get for free for the whole day if you order any food from their restaurant. Wish I knew that before I went the first day, I ended up renting an umbrella and chairs... More

A small beach with calm and not so cold water. On the right side of the beach, close to the stones, there are some coral and some variety of sea life. You can have some fun by snorkelling there. There are some restaurants near for lunch.
