Probably the best beach in Buzios as it is the widest and I guess a good place to take kids to play. It is rather off the beaten track and without a car I suspect most people wouldn't think it was wort the effort. It took us 45 minutes to walk there from the centre of town.

This is the best beach in Buzios, in my opinion. That's the only beach where you really feel like there is a long distance to walk or jog if that's your thing. There are several inns throughout the beach, offering good services and comfortable accommodations. The best way to go here is to stay in one of those, so you can enjoy the delights of just a lazy walk in the sand through the day (or enjoying the inn's swimming pool if they offer one) and drive your car for a ride only at night. If you are looking for a broad piece of sand, this is the place for you. There are a few peddlers but they are cool - if you do not want to be disturbed they won't insist.

Geriba is a very huge beach. It's very nice for surfers given that it has waves. Geriba is on the south end of the peninsula of Buzios, and this is the reason why it has these waves. The north end is more quiet and with warmer water.
Chairs, umbrellas are easily available on the beach. There are people selling most relevant things on the beach, and it's also relatively easy to get something to eat.
Even if the beach has some waves the beach is quite popular among families with kids due to the shallow water.
Beach is a few kilometers before the town of Buzios. So if you live in the city centre you might need a car (rental or taxi) or motorcycle to go there.
Geriba is a jetset place with after-beach parties, and the area around is packed with expensive summer houses.
Geriba is a nice beach, but it all depends on your preferences. Personally I prefer the calm and warmer water on the north side of the peninsula. If you like big beaches with shallow water and waves you won't be disappointed.

Geriba is a wide and long beach. Many chairs and umbrellas to rent. Water is clear and clean. A must see when you are in Buzios.

We spent the day there. The beach is nice, many activities for the kids (kayak, jetski...) the sea is quiet and people are very nice. We enjoyed it!

Were there today. A bunch of unpolite spanish girls thought they just could take over the beach. Probably with Dad's money. You could tell. What an effort TO get the napkins that flew away by the wind. Waw what a face on ons of the girls. Spoiled !! Anyway that happened while waiting 10 minutes for the beer. No coolers around the can. And then 35 minuten for shrimps and lukewarm terrible french fries. Too expensive even with the chairs included. Will try the right side tomorrow. Oh well!

Even though we didn't expereinced sun there we had lots of fun. The beach is wide, offers a wide range of sport activities and the views are amazing.

Indico o estacionamento do Lacerda, é o maior estacionamento do canto esquerdo com ducha, é todo murado,...
