The beaches were pretty busy in early January. We walked to this point from Ossos. Well worth the effort. A beautiful place to look and listen. We only saw about 10 visitors in the two hours we stayed.

I remember Lagoinha beach since i was a child when Buzios used to receive artists to sing at this place. Surrounded by hills and vegetation is a perfect natural theater area to observe the ocean and the strong waves banging against the big rocks. The splash of the water forms natural pools and small crystal clear beaches, where you can lay down, refresh yourself, take great photos and forget about life. Its also very romantic.
The beach is a kind of desert or secluded, make sure you have more people over there for safety reasons.
Also a lot of locals use the place to fish from the rock. Please do not do it yourself. The waves can get very big , really fast. make sure you have someone from Buzios, some local fisherman to avoid any incident.
enjoy Buzios, see you in Buzios, see you in Brazil

Took a walk to this beach and it was well worth the effort. Stunning rocks to wander around in. It is unlike any other beach on the peninsula, we sat and watched the sea for quite a while and only saw a handful of people come here.
Very peaceful for a few hours visit.

Imagine standing on the top of the Himalayas admiring the sea. Then you dive and go for a swim. This is absolutely possible in Ponta da Lagoinha, in Buzios, Brazil, just 1,30h off driving north from Rio de janeiro; a piece of rock of 500 million years old that in those day was just a part of the Himalayas mountains. But in fact, Ponta da Lagoinha is not just a mere very old rock formation, it is right the exact point were Africa and the American Continent first started to spread out from each other. Ponta da Lagoinha is the place were the ancient huge Pangea massive continent first ceased to exist. Wow!
At Ponta da Lagoinha you can feel all this evolution in your hands and feet. Do save some time once in beautifully amazing Buzios to travel some million years back in planet Earth history.
Hint: Spiritual people have more chances to get connected.

Definitely worth the hike... lovely place to walk on the rocks and generally appreciate the wonders of nature! Even spotted a few turtles in the water.
Quite deserted when we visited (except for the lifeguard) which made it more special...

While in Buzios, going to the Ponta da Lagoinha is a must, especially with active kids. Try going during lower tides to take full advantage of the area as some rocks might be covered by water during high tide. Besides the crashing waves and incredible vista, you'll find beautiful rock formations and info panels explaining the geological particularities of the area. Nice spot for a sundowner too!

Ponta da Lagoinha is one of those places where the complex geological processes have capriciously gifted us with this natural jewel.
I have only seen such beautiful sea cost formation in places like the Madeira Island, Hawaii and Galapagos.
Absolutely worth visiting in Buzios!

Beautiful to see the sea and the old stones, you have to pass through ferradura Beach and go to the left.

Espero ayudarte, besos!
